Does anyone use the MonkeyFarm terrain.png file for John Smith?
I'm wondering because I like MF's glass block, but when I use connected textures I get an entirely different glass block that I don't like.
Anyone know how to enable connected textures but still use MF's glass block?
If you don't want to use the connected textures in Johnsmith (at all), delete the ctm.png file inside the Johnsmith folder. Until we get updated on that part, the file does more damage than it is good.
Note that you still can have Connected Textures enabled.
Also, cool that you watch Monkeyfarm. He's a cool guy.
Went through first week of freshman year, so I haven't done much of anything. RedPower support looks nice so far, but not as close to completion as I want it to be.
Incredible work! If you're not doing all of Forestry, do you mind whenever I get to Forestry to use these? (with credit of course) And if you are doing mod support for Forestry, keep up the good work!
Hey XRDBlade not trying to bug you or anything of the sort. But could you give us an update on what your doing? Like working on any 1.3.2 mods? Just being curious
Just a short mention, but I don't use adf.ly. This is because I don't feel like ripping off John's texture pack and concept by making, even in small increments of money, off his work.
So, I have no idea, but I'll check in with him and see if masking url's via adf.ly is perfectly fine with him. In the meantime, I can't really use this unless you don't mind me peeling the direct link off the adf.ly or until I check with John.
Actually, in the Balkon's WeaponMod thread, in the HD textures part, the texture labeled HD textures are John Smith style, so those could fill in for now
I hope you are done up to date with the Better than Wolves support soon. Thanks for the work on this though and I fully understand that you don't have a lot of time on your hands.
I'm not sure how to go about asking this without sounding rude or entitled, but is anyone able to update the Better Than Wolves textures?
So far i've been able to hack together some simple textures by modifying existing tiles but some parts i've had to grab from other similar texture packs so I don't think I should be distributing that. When it comes to difficult textures like nethergroth, i've no idea what to do...

On the nether groth part I used Battosay's, he does have his Netherrack from one of the old Johnsmith Ones. The set with green soul sand I believe. I used that same set of netherrack and just used his support for that texture. Works like a charm.
I just have to say i LOVE this texture pack and trust me iv tried alot of them out there. Can't wait for the BC addon for the pack cuz im currently basing my entire server off what this texture pack looks like i use IC2 and BC along with their addons but man i love the look of IC2 with johnsmith so Thx for being a genius.
Maybe someone here can help me since my thread in both the normal John Smith texture pack thread as well as my thread in modded client support both have not yielded any results.
I recently formatted my computer, cleaned it and overclocked a bit. I've been getting everything set up the way I want it and today I was setting up Minecraft. I use John Smith texture pack that I've modified myself a bit and noticed two things.
1. The text is rather...more pixelated that it normally is. As though the font size has changed and lost quality or something.
2. Whenever I look off to the distance everthing's not as clean looking as it used to be. Like it's all of a sudden lower resolution or something. And during movement there's so much noise and static in the image it's REALLY noticeable.
Anyone know if there's anything I can do about this? And before the obvious responses come up...
Yes, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card.
Yes, I have installed Java (Both 32 and 64 bit)
Yes, I've used MC patcher.
Yes, I've tried re-installing the texture pack, other packs work just fine. I tried default and Inspiration and they both are fine.
Before formatting my computer I played with this exact pack for almost a year now with no troubles. I literally copied over my entire .minecraft folder and all of my data.
Those who posted in my thread dedicated to this issue have claimed it's on the texture pack makers end. Which I'm not thinking is true with so many other people using this just fine. Any ideas?
For those wondering if it's my configuration settings they are as followed,
I've tried it with both the settings all the way up and all off. I'm still getting this noise and fuzziness to the game. It seems to only be with John Smith too. Inspiration and Faithful are both 32x32 and they look fine.

And how it would be better? With a scroll or without it?
