I read most of the posts and I do not believe someone has asked for it yet. could you possibly texture some of the extra things added by better then buildcraft compatibility mod? (ps. logistics pipes would be good too) -LordGuppy
Good to see that the BTW support for JohnSmith continues. I'm the one who kept it updated until 2.94 (and made a bunch of the textures), feel free to use them but please add me to the credits
Ah, so it was you! I've always wondered who did the original textures, because the link at the Better Than Wolves forum went directly to a Mediafire link. Just wanted to say thanks.
Battlegear is a raaaather famous mod. Do you think you're up for it, if you're not too busy with tekkit ? Great work though.
I've looked into it, and I thought it would be pretty simple. I'll probably do this right after Balkon's. A minor problem with the tools, such as in Battlegear and Balkon's, is that the diamond axe in the default JohnSmith contradicts the battle axes in both these mods, but anyway, once I find some time to actually plan and do these, it'll be on its way.
Support for Yogbox would be absolutely amazing, but of course it will take time and you already have a lot on your plate, you should honestly consider it but it would also include ThaumCraft texture which may be a bit difficult seeing as a lot of time was put into the original textures themselves, I commend you my good sir.
JohnSmith already supports Connected Textures, unless you want to me to make one specifically for your glass/sandstone/bookshelf type.
Actually, JohnSmith supports a limited subset of Connected Textures. It doesn't use the newer features, such as logs (for jungle trees and other large wood structures), furnaces, crafting tables, biome coloring support, etc.
I second IronChests Mod. In terms of what it adds to the game texture wise, 6 Item Textures, 6 Block textures (both are on sheets), 6 Chest textures (the ones used when placed in the world), and 6 GUIs. (All just larger variations of Container GUI)
But don't overwork yourself, mate. Also, why haven't any of you clicked his yet? Only 7 before I clicked? If people would show as much appreciation as they would interest in mod-support... -.-
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...
I'd like to add some help to the OP in this thread. I just recently got into the mod scene and as it turns out, I'm a Photoshop monster. 17 years of graphic design experience leading art departments (plus a lot of illustration work). As far as I'm concerned, the John Smith texture pack is the end-all most rock solid "default look and feel" texture pack - and represents what Minecraft should look like. Of course that's only my opinion! Regardless, here's the mods I actively use in my two main worlds:
I also use Better Than Wolves (my fav mod), but unfortunately it generally doesn't work with ANYTHING else - so that's a separate saved world for me.
Knowing me.....and my obsession for things to look good (hey, it comes with the job), I won't be happy till all these are looking like they work together. I've already started on RedPower 2 and will gladly work with the OP to get a priority list rolling. I don't have a tremendous amount of time to work on this, but I can knock out a bunch in one sitting. If we take it one mod at a time, it's very do-able.
I'll bookmark this thread and drop in with updates as I can get them rolling. If anyone does need mod art, here's my portfolio: http://www.pixelshock.com - If you have a MC related project and need art help, give me the scoop and I might be interested in working on it for free.
I apologize immensely for the lack of updates and not even adding new mods to the list. I've strayed away from Minecraft for a while to play League of Legends and beta-testing Smite. After reading recent comments, I felt I should come back to the texturing scene and continue to get through these.
Fro all those that have been asking these questions over and over again...
I will be focusing on Tekkit support, and stray into the Yogbox later.

Ah, so it was you!
Of course, but I don't have as much time on my hands as I want to. But it'll be around sometime.

but it would be really cool if you did textures for the whole Technic/Tekkit Mod Pack
Thanks
Clay soldiers totally topped the Aether in a matter of minutes. See for yourself: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/495553-173-kodas-clay-soldier-mod-v2-new-stuff/

Curse Premiumhttp://www.minecraft...-v125-season-4/
This list would cover Tekkit, and Technic.
I can confidently say a modpack like this would seriously be supported by the Industrial community.
Additional Buildcraft Objects - v100 (latest as of 5/28) - Specifically HERE
IC2 Addon Advanced Machines - BlockID 4095
Buildcraft 3.1.5
Additional Pipes (Teleport Pipes) v3.1.0 (for BC 3.1.5)
Doggy Talents 2.2.1
Ender Storage 1.1.3
Equivalent Exchange 2 v.1.4.6.5
Forestry 1.4.8.0
Industrial Craft 1.97
Inventory Tweaks 1.41b
The Laser Mod 1.5
Logistics Pipes BC3-0.2.5B
Iron Chests 3.4.2.28
NEI plugin for Red Power
NEI plugin for Railcraft
NEI Plugin for Forestry
PortalGun 1.2.5 v1
Railcraft 5.3.2
Red Power 2 PRE5b2 (Download on top right of screen) - get all 7 files
Sneaky Pipes 0.1.1
Steve's Carts 1.4.4
Thaumcraft 2.1.6d
Wireless Redstone -- Chicken Bones Edition 1.2.1 - Get all 3 files
Compact Solars - V2.3.2.10
IC2 Nuclear Control - v1.1.8 - BlockID 4093 (Edit the config file it creates)
It'd be impresive if you got all of those added. Although the "core" mods are
-Red Power 2
-Wireless Redstone
-Buildcraft
-IndustrialCraft
-Thaumcraft
-Various addons for Buildcraft/Industrialcraft

I do watch a lot of Direwolf's videos, and I'm a big fan of his work, so I will support those mods in his pack as well.
Wow, I would be overjoyed to have a professional artist help make these textures. I really would like to see what stuff you make.

Curse PremiumI hope you really do continue, and get that artist to help you.
Your texture pack is just brilliant, absolutely perfect.
