Getting a bug with animated textures. I've just updated a 32x compilation I've been working on to a resource pack. The first time I tried it out in 1.6.1, it worked perfectly fine, including the animated textures on blocks such as glints on ores and flickering flames in the furnace. However, on all subsequent tries at the texture-pack, 90% of animated textures are replaced by a 2x2 checker pattern of purple and black. (Some textures, like the torch from john-smith, are still functioning.)
I tried the 1.6.1 MCpatcher, but it did not solve this issue. Any tips?
I updated to the newest MCPatcher yesterday, hoping that would fix the problem, but am having the same issue - lots of chequered blocks, even after converting texturepacks to 1.6 (again) using the latest MCPatcher. Also animations just not working, and what appear to be some blocks looking as default MC blocks.
For help with animations, check out the Animation Tutorial I wrote. If you have questions after reading that, feel free to post them in the thread and someone (probably me) will address them.
As for some blocks looking like default... with everything having been renamed it's possible some things got missed in the conversion. Check your naming on everything. There are also some new tiles (melon stems, individual log tops, etc.) that some people may have not known about when converting. Be mindful of those changes as well.
And am also having problems with two packs (Hazers Forest and Norzeteus 1.6 res pack) that aren't showing in my game resource pack list even though they were correctly loaded into the game via the resource pack open option (ie not just copied into the folder). Any ideas anyone?
I don't understand what you mean. How did you get them into the Resource Pack folder if you didn't copy them there? There's no mechanism in Minecraft to load a resource pack from a separate folder. At least, not to my knowledge.
Chances are if they're not showing up in the list they're structured improperly. The usual problem is that everything that should be in the root of the .zip file is one folder in. Remember, the assets folder, pack.png, and pack.mcmeta should all be in the root of a Resource Pack's .zip file (or main folder if it's packaged that way).

edit: OK, this was the request, but some formatting got weird after I took it down, so...yeah. (The pack in question is the one in the signature, though)
Hello Ivy. Congrats on taking over Resource Pack Central.
I'd be very grateful if you could move my 'Glimmar's Steampunk' resource pack from the 32x to the 64x section.
As it's now a hybrid 64x/32x pack and I haven't updated the 32x pack since 1.5, anyone looking for 32x will be confused and disappointed when they come to install it, as it will require a higher spec machine to run properly. Although there are still 32x textures in the pack, it can now only run as a 64x pack.

Retired StaffWell, would you look at that!
Got it all up-to-date hastily, it'll need more tidying up come 1.8.
