OP, I'm from Russia. I hate that (minecraft.my1****) website. The problem is that NOT administation uploading textures and mods on the site.
If someone wants to read something from this site, I can translate (basic lvl, I'm not very good at speaking English) some texts from russian into english.

Not right. More than 50% of mods and textures don't contain author's name or original link.
There are no reviews. Only some words. And stolen video, pics and other things.

First off Who cares. Did you sell your texturepack at any point in time? Did you ever charge for the download of your work?
Lesson to learn the net is the biggest thing since the TV and trying to police this thing would be insane. If you throw any info up on the web
Good luck. Cause someone out there will copy and exploit it.

Personally I have my own Texture packs and when I post them on the web for others and I don't charge a fee. Who the heck would i be to to complain. If you never charged for it then you really have no grounds in the legal system to even pursue them. There laws are diffrent than the us laws and i don't see amercia running over to rage war cause they didn't give you credit for info you did and posted on this world wide web.

If you check out my Texture pack I clearly state if you want to cut my pack up and use something from it go for it. Why do i state this?
Cause there is no way to stop anyone from doing what you consider wrongful acts. If i didn't want people to enjoy my pack I for one would have never put it on the web to be downloaded.

So my biggest question is why do you people complain? Cause you didn't get your 5 mins in the spot light?

But still, if you do take someone's thing, you need to at least provide some sort of credit to the maker. It's straight forward obvious if I made a map or a texture pack and see it re-uploaded without providing credit to me, I'm obviously going to rage (or, tell them to provide me credit ^-^). Also what do you mean if you didn't charge for it, you have no rights in the legal system to pursue them? You are the creator, it is your right to protect what you own. Royalty free or not, it is your own and if someone else takes it and doesn't even credit you (doesn't even have to claim it's theirs, just not even have your name), you are right to pursue them. Take Kevin MacLeod for example. He creates free music on his website but he states you must provide credit in order for it be allowed. If not, it will be taken down for copyright.
