haha I'm sorry that you dont like the wood textures, thats how minecraft original tp does it. How would you like it done? I will try and whip something up for you.
yeah, I am about to upload some. and I dont want to take all the credit for this pack, I am simply updating it. The original creator stopped updating it.

Hello everyone. I don't think I'll ever update the pack again, so I give anyone the right to use it however they want, modify/continue it, distribute it, etc.
In short sevenfour has granted anyone in the community permission to work with this pack as they see fit, which is a fine gift to the community. represent601 is the only person that I am aware of who's made their continuation available for public use. To both artists: thank you making the results of your time available to all!

like the jungle planks could be all viney something like that

I'm starting a customizer for this pack, as of right now there wont be a whole lot to change. actually I dont think there will be anything to change... But I'm going to link it when I finish everything.
2 problems i found were that vines,tall grass/fern, and leaves(fancy) have these strange outlining textures on the leaves, vine, or plant on them that can look weird(I dont know if its because of my computer or the texture pack) and there is no difference between wet farmland and dry farmland. It would be great if you could look into these!

take your render distance off tiny, that should fix the strange outlining. or maybe it was the advanced open gl, It's something having to do with the lowest setting, its really weird. as for the farmland thing I shall check it out! If you have any more problems let me know and I will do my best to help out!

yeah it was on my end. I downloaded HD optifine and fiddled with some stuff and it's fixed.
This texture pack will be experiencing fewer updates now that I'm finished with it. I'm definitely not forgetting it all together because this is the texture pack that really got my name out there and I'm not one to forget my roots! I would also hate to see this texture pack die or fall back into the state that it was in before I started updating it again, but I want to start working on my own video game. This has been something I wanted to do for a while now, but I've just never had the time to do it. I'm out for a few months and I have no immediate plans, so I figured this was the best time to start on this project that has been in the planning for who knows how long! With that being said I would like some help from everybody here, I need some people skilled in 3d design to create a character model and maybe some people who know how to script later down the line. haha I'm glad you like it. That is so far the only place to get information on the project. I would post it in my signature and stuff, but it doesn't really have anything to do with minecraft so I'm going to hold off on it.
After taking a quick peek at the mc forums front page I became aware of a few more block and items that are about to be put in game.. I guess I have to put Valiente(my game) on hold for now. I will be uploading some screen shots of everything later once I get the blocks closer to completion.
So I went ahead and jumped on the emerald blocks so that ornate would still be usable when this next update hits, so here is a quick preview of the emerald blocks. oh and I'm going to tidy up the fancy block a little more.
