I am going to attempt to upload the soundpack to Sugarsync which ZeroLevels suggested, but I want to test the soundpack by myself to make sure that it works with 1.4.2

ok sounds great i can't wait i love this pack its just not the same with out the sound pack , i know how confusing it may be changing up the sound since they add that sound3 file.

Remember what i said about risugami's audiomod? are you working with that or did you find a different mod?

I own the server for this AWESOME Texture pack. HECK YAS!
yeah that mod is really good and simple to use, but there's a bug in it right now that background music cant play, the maker is uploading the fixed version when the new update is released
I've made a map that uses this texture pack quite some time ago and have just updated it,
here is a link to the post http://www.minecraft...d/#entry3696346
I've noticed that Last Days is a very popular texture pack, and I was wondering if you would like a website dedicated to the pack. It would have all the lore, downloads, and information you would like, designed in a post-apocalyptic feel.
If you would like more information, an example of my work, or just have a simple question, you can contact me through the forums, planetminecraft, or my email at [email protected]
okay so it seems that the resource files are unchanged except there is a new file called sound3 and whatever is in this file is what I have to change to make the sound pack work with 1.4.2
however there is one small problem
this may make the file size of the sound pack almost double in size from 182 MB to 364 MB and this may pose a problem to those with bad internet, so updates to the sound pack will not be frequent if this is the case
Needs a better file host... Limit was reached. Was really interested in this TP for my server, but I can't get a download of it and I don't want to put a hassle on any player looking to get the full experience of my server. (That's if I were allowed to use it for such purposes.)

Maybe you could try compressing it into a .rar or .7zip. That will really cut down the size into something much more manageable provided the recipients have the proper programs to extract them (which they should, .rar and .7zip are really common file formats).
I've played your map before you updated it and I must say that it has lots of interesting aspects . However the overabundance of armor and weapons makes it not that challenging (The equipment of Easter Egg 1 is sufficient to play through the entire thing)
Edit:
I made a multiplayer compatible skin of agent Creeper (HIVE Guy)
Thanks, I just kind of rushed the update but took some more time today to go through it and take some stuff out and add a few more buildings and areas.

Well, when it's good and ready, I'll look into seeing if the size can be reduced without notable loss of quality as well as some testing to make sure it all works fine, assuming I come across any particular method. What kbps/bitrate .ogg do you prefer?
Also, you might be able to get away with sectioning your sound pack. For instance, most people I know play without the music at all, even when they have sound packs installed. So, you may be able to include music files as a separate download altogether. Why bother downloading the music if you're not going to use it, right?
Anyways, come whatever may. People will still be happy with whatever changes you make whenever you make them. Bring it on.
Also, I'm seeing how much of what I can shave off right now with the old 1.2.5 pack. Once I finish, I'll share my results with you, if you'd like.
EDIT:
While not by much, 7-Zip actually has better compression ratios in this case. I re-compressed the same file set twice with best settings, and the RAR came out to be 181 MB, while the 7z came out to be 177 MB. I use both WinRAR and 7-Zip, because I find that based on filetype, their compression ratios outweigh the other. So far, 7-zip is the superior option in terms of compression. Honestly, my only complaints with 7-zip is that I'm not used to its GUI and I can't view pictures in it without extracting first. (Unless I view the archive with winrar)

thanks man, it seems that most of the sounds don't have to be changed all I have to do is shift them into the right spots

Retired StaffThis is the only thing I could find on it. I'm not sure how strict they are, as I've said.

I've been in this thread a few times. All of those times, I was completely ignored.
But yes. LAST DAYS is awesome. One of my favorite minecraft experiences to date. And I've had a lot of them.
