I'm having a bit of a problem with the listed sound pack mod. Walking on snow makes metal-creaking sounds like when walking on wool (which is various forms of mechanical apparatuses and justified). After looking through the resource pack, I did find snow-step sounds, and to my surprise learned that I have been hearing the same sound for wool and snow since snow existed.
Is this intentional? And whether it is or not, is there way to force minecraft to play the snow.ogg instead of the wool sound for snow blocks and snow covered blocks?
Well, snow biomes are said to be getting a overhaul soon. I guess thats just why it's sounding like metal. (This has actually given me a great idea for snow biomes!)
If your idea is to make snow look like piles of scrap on the ground, it would make snow golems make more sense.
Well, that was part of it. And I was thinking that seeming as water is so green, it would mean it's got lil bits of slime in it! So when it's cold enough, metal derbies is stuck together and has a slimy surface which is slippery when you walk on it! (Lets just pretend that water had little bits of metal derbies in it)

The idea can work as well! Cause the snow can look like metal bits...but with blackend patches from ashes (thus why ash falls from the sky in those areas)
Also, why does the slimy metal turn into water when broken? Because you break the bonding of the slime-on-metal thus all the metal falls into it's tiny pieces going into slimy water again!
(But with silk touch it has better percision and so manages to pick a chunk of it out without any of the slime bonds on the metal breaking!)
The snowballs could become clumps of metal bits so you can throw them and snow golems launch them but they're light and break as soon as they touch anything so no damage.
The only reason they'd hurt Blazes (snowballs hurt them BTW) is due to the tiny metal fragments clogging the rotating poles around them causing a system flux which damages it's central processor eventually destroying it when enough of them are thrown at it!
Last bit! Assuming the texture for snow covers, formed when snow is falling, is taken from the snow block, as the ash is falling, little metal fragments are caught on the matter and build up into a thin layer of metal bits!
So, what do you all think of this idea for the snow biome overhaul?
The snow golems could have been designed as environmental cleanup robots, but due to the lack of maintenance, began to leak the slimy water and scrap combination.
I believe I have solved the customizer problem with some from from Croco and the people who own the customizer.
I will get access to the original pack and will only have to upload the new community textures which I have already disected out of the their large pngs.
Does the current download on the thread have all the new textures for me to double check against?

Hey guys I'm back. Friggen LOVE this texture pack. Me and a friend are on a server with the textures, the sound, and balkon's weapon mod (which I'm excited to see that it's also been re-textured to fit the theme)
However, the item names are the last thing out of place. Is there an official item name replacement, to make everything fall into line with Last Days?

That's fine, since I don't think the customizer allows red power textures.
I will begin uploading the new textures to it later, today.
