Energy is a measurement of work capability, not an invisible magic cloud. (Quote from one of my favorite webcomics)
It needs to be stored somehow, either within chemical systems like batteries, kinetic systems like flywheels, or electronic devices like condensators. Otherwise it would spontaneously react with its environment.
I like the creative thinking about the the living things within inanimate objects. However cameras still don't grow when birds nest inside.
maybe......... a type of leech(mechanical or not) thing that stucks its self on the jungle trees to get power from them that grows as it gets power and cocoa beans are its eggs or small versions of them if there mechanical and for the cookies when you make them they could just be a regular weird type of food for the non-mechanical version and for a mechanical version they could be some sort of small type of that when you eat it (i have no idea for this you can decide)
I'm the one who made it. Plus I did edit it to fit the actual block names. Originally I was just confused on what to call things because I wasn't aware of the preset names! Plus the new names correspond to the default texture pack.
I am thinking of ozone collectors. They are expanding pressurized canisters that combine the O3 produced by lighting strikes with N in the air to produce N2O. Nitrogen is a major compoment of many commerical drugs and N2O is also laughing gas. So cookies can still be drugs and Brown dye can be a brown canister of N2O.
Most of this won't make it into the lore I'm writing, but Spee cola will definetly have an appearance. Is there any meaning behind the "Pris" in Pris-Cola, or was that a randomly chosen name?
Pris-cola just sounded cool. What will the lore be for potions then?
Oh, and the reason the negative potions are the same names as the positive in my language is for my own lore reasons. (people aren't supposed to know if the pris-cola they are drinking is poison)

I suggest putting some kind of outline or bevel on the pod itself to fit in better with most of the last days textures, otherwise they look great.
So be it. We could use the alternate cocoa bean texture for this or create a new one. I'll have to search it. Edit: The alternate cocoa bean texture looks too much like a tin can, well need another one.
Sort of a mutagen, it's hard to describe. Since almost all potions are based of the netherwart (awkward potion) I thought about the moonshroom containing a strand of "super stem cells" that would quickly bond to the body and affect your performance. However they don't undergo cell division within a human and quickly die, making the potions effects non-permanent. The cola bottles are merley used since there are no other containers around (except Spee-Cola). Edit: Writing this pseudoscience stuff is a lot of fun, but rather tiring. I already have 2 pages, and only laid down the basics of brewing, the base potions and 3 beneficial potions... I guess could send you a copy if you want one, Kietram.
Oh, crap! I've been using the oil stuff for my nether wart, so thought of it being the oil is a catalyst for the reaction between the ingredients and the water. Maybe if Derek can change the default last days terrain to the oil collector nether wart, i will be happy. if not, then I will be happy to take a look at your ideas.

I own the server for this AWESOME Texture pack. HECK YAS!
Great Texture Pack! I was really looking for someone to continue History's work. However I suggest changing the hunger bar/health bar/armor bar back to the original one and get rid of that med-kit health bar. It just looks better.
Since you were so knowledgeable about the ozone/N2O issue, could our excuse for planting N2O tanks as ozone collectors be, that they act as initial catalyst for further N2O synthesis? Or will we have to brush that weak point of with nuclear radiation?
This look better?
I would say if the cocoa bean texture resembles the cocoa plant texture, we can get away with when crafting it is full and when planting it is empty.
Has anyone come up with a cocoa plant texture yet? I've been trying to make something that looks like radioactive egg sacks growing off a tree but its not coming out so well =S

=o thanks hadnt looked at the last pages was looking a few pages behind. Have the emeralds been added in yet? I just copied from another texture pack so at least I could see them for now

They are complete but not added into a download yet.
I used to prefer the oil collector too, but since then I have come up with an explanation as to why moonshrooms can grow on the moon.
Moonshrooms were an experimental food source planted within the moonbases to reduce costly supply flights. They were adapted to cope with the reduced gravity. During the Event a part of earths atmosphere was sucked onto the moon (not enough for humans to breathe but enough to transmit sound waves).
The airlock forcefields protecting the moonbases broke down but the moonshrooms proved to be resilent enough to survive in the low oxygen environment of the moon. When you try to plant moonshrooms on earth, even on the fine dust they normally grow on, they get crushed by earths stronger gravitation.
The oil collector doesn't make sense, since you gain additional ones when harvesting them. Also I have no idea what that mysterious moon oil could be and why you can't harvest it on earth.
I think i can come up with a reason for the oil collectors, maybe self replicating, but also uses the moonshroom on-earth problem (gravity is too strong for the collector to suck up the oil.)
OR maybe someone can change the icon for nether wart into solid oil. that could explain how you get more than one. And since the Icon and nether wart block are seperate images (one is in terrain, one in items) we don't have to worry.
Sorry, i just love my idea.

Jungle temples were added to the game and they use the chiseled stone brick... poop.
The chiseled stonebrick is a white tile drain at the moment and will propably look absolutley strange in this environment.
Can someone provide pics?
Also we need lore for the jungle temples. Any ideas? Since they are made from scrap metal I'd say it's some deceased survivors reinforced home.
Hm, you should be able to enhance mechanical devices so they can work on earth. Solid oil growing out of the ground? Perhaps some sort of black crystals like the ones you can find in chemistry kits, and they need low-grav to form their crystaline structure. If you insist on the collector texture and your colas, write some lore and we can include it in the Misc section of the lore thread.
I prefer the Moonshrooms and mutagen potions.
Alrighty.
in 25 B.E. Orbital industries found that people got dehydrated (who knew!), and decided to create their own brand of colas, not only quenching thirst, but also giving people's bodies a change. They called the main cola (health potion) Pris-cola, and centered their brands around that. They are as follows:
Pris-cola: Very basic cola, gives people a revived feeling. (Healing)
Spee-cola: Gives you that boost you need to start the day! (swiftness)
Regen-cola: Get the Pris-cola taste with the long-lasting effects! (regeneration)
Fire-cola: Cool the heat. (fire resistance)
Hit-cola: Pack a bigger punch. (strength)
In 12 A.E. wastelanders found out how the original colas were made, and sought after a way to create them. Using the power rods from the HE-3 excavators from the moon, they created what they call "Brewing stands" used to concoct the colas. Originally, OI used petrol as a catalyst for the reactions between the cola ingredients and the water they were put in. Since the event, though, the only oil people could find was on the moon, collected by small vacuum-esque glass tubes, [programmed to only take oil on the moon] {<--- this bit can be changed}. The oil collectors can be taken and the oil can be solidified for carrying. When mixed with water the water is then able to be mixed with ingredients without TOO violent a reaction, using the power from the HE-3 power rod to speed up the reaction, allowing people to make their own Pris-cola!

The Oil is from Mars and you should use the brown netherrack with it. I made a different netherwart texture which is a test tube filled with oil.
Thanks but is that really everything? The hooks appear to have some sort of wooden base in the pics I've seen. Is there a seperate texture for it or does minecraft use the normal wood texture for that?
I think tripwires should remain tripwires. They are crafted from string which excludes the lasers option.

Found a Junlge Temple. It is made entirely of cobblestone. There are 3 circle stone bricks but levers are placed on them. Tripwires are like levers with the base using an existing texture.

A Black bevel/outline or one more along the same metal colour?
We need a new cocoa bean texture.
it's a mosaic of capt. Jean Luc Picard facepalming, made up of other facepalms.
Wibbly-wobbly.... timey-wimey.
