Can we get someone on this as a side project? Someone who's good with texturing? Shouldn't be too difficult. It would be cool for machinimas where it shows the world before the event occurred then it fades to the current textures

I had concept art based off of this a while back.
The Pack is called "Military Conquest" , and the Idea was that you are a survivor of a War that is still continuing. The End Goal was to get to a Military Facility (Stronghold), and enter Cyberspace (The End). You then defeated a massive program, which manifests as a dragon (Ender Dragon). You found these Cyber Interface Modules (Eyes of Ender), and you would plug them in a Cyber Terminal (End Frame). A interesting concept was the emeralds, which were Stacks of useless money (Inflation, counterfeit, etc). The Nether, was a massive machine / Eldritch Mass that O.I (Or another similar corp) found. The Machine had Netherrack as Machine / Metal Parts, Soul - Sand was electrified / wire that slowed you down, and the Pigmen were Mechanics / Scientists sent to examine the machine.
The Overworld had Trees (Scrap Shacks were not built yet), and Zombies would be Killer Robots made by O.I to kill rebels. Skeletons were Snipers / Assassins that were driven Insane, so they shoot people on sight. NPC Villagers are citizens / rebels that live in small communes. They have a Iron Golem, which lore-wise is a Robot programmed to defend the Rebels. The Caves are just normal caves that are used by the military as trenches.
The Pumpkin was supposed to be a mid 80's PC, that could be powered by a battery powered torch. The Anvil is a Digital - Analog Interface that reads data from Floppy Disks (Books), and writes programmable instructions on weapons to increase attributes. The Floppy Disks are made from paper (All Disks are made with it), and the Plastic would come from stray sheep that carried supplies to the fronts.
I registered just so I could post on the Last Days threads! :3
I
had a thought a while ago about some lore for the mega amoeba. It could
be the result of a nano-bot project run by O.I. to enter a patient's
body and literally take out any cancerous cells, mutations (that one
depends on when O.I. started the project), or viruses. However, they
decided to start producing them on a larger scale, before gradually
shrinking the design. They still have all of the properties they would
have when the project was completed, ie. combining to form larger
robots, separating when destroyed, and trying to get into a human. And that
kinda hurts.
What I'd really love is a B.E version of the texture pack. Like, what everything looked like before the moon assploded fell and everything became all desolate.
I had this same idea a long time ago. Me and a friend worked on it a bit. It ended up with a completely different art style and just a personal use pack in 64x. After we were finished with it, it had nothing to do with Last Days lore-wise. We called it Now-a-Days and kept it at 1.2 or something way back in the day.
I cleaned it up quite a lot, included every single attribute present in the en_US.lang found in the 1.8.8 JAR, so that they are now line-for-line matched (This took the file from 1349 lines to 2678 lines, nearly doubling it), searched through the last 2 years of this thread for names, and also did some clever cosmetic things with the enchantment/potion formatting, (though a small bug in the game prevents the (blank in en_US) "potion level 0" numeral from displaying) and discovered that I don't know the new lore as well as I thought. Also I changed bricks to redbricks because it bothered me that they had exactly the same name as stone bricks.
Remaining questions:
What do we call the "refined" Harvester material? (Acacia planks and derivs.)
What does the "S" in SITB on the Dark Oak sapling stand for? (Also, what are dark oaks in general?)
What are all of the flowers called, officially? (I didn't look this up because there are so many of them and this forum has very poor searchability, also it's very late already)
What are we calling rabbits?
What are we calling mutton?
Fish?
Horses?
Endermites?
The Wither? (I see that it says GROT, but what does that mean? I can't make punny achievement names without knowing)
Do we care about banner/shield descriptions? (Formatting, mostly)
Statistics?
Where does the water valve connect to? Does it just dump the water on the moon through a portal? (This is actually almost reasonable in LD, especially since there's no crafting recipe to explain, but I'd rather another explanation (You know, a year ago, (almost exactly, as I discovered today while researching) I suggested using a water boiler instead of a valve to nowhere))
Anyways, I finally found a way to contribute without having to be an artist and/or maintaining a constant presence as some kind of archiver, so I'm happy. Hopefully the lang file is accepted and we can all enjoy the simple pleasure that comes from having Lore-compatible names for such common materials as doors, stone variants, carpets, and prismarine.

Okay, I have reviewed the other proposed changes, as well as examined the differences between the different versions carefully, and I have produces a unified en_LD.lang file suitable for use in all 3 versions supported, (And it's less than 10% longer than the 1.8 lang file so it's not too badly cluttered) not counting the remastered pack. (Speaking of, I have no idea what that is. I must have missed an announcement, and there's no descriptions anywhere except to say that it depends on MCPatcher)
I have answers for all of my former questions except:
lang file:
The Wither? (I see that it says GROT, but what does that mean? I can't make punny achievement names without knowing)
Do we care about banner(/shield in 1.9) descriptions? (Formatting, mostly, but there are 600 lines of it)
Do we care about the statistics menu?
Non lang file:
Where does the water valve connect to?
And also, I no longer have any of my up-to-5-year-old bookmarks, including the one for the old lore thread, and all links to it have been since removed, so if anyone could be so helpful as to direct me there, it would be much appreciated.

I've also posted this on the lore thread.

I would like to see a pack like that! Seeming that Fallout 4 has a pre-war scene.
Is this what you're looking for Stefsarch7?
Old music pack:
resources - last days.zip
Different version:
Last Days Sound Pack 1.4.7 by Gizka.rar
Can I have permission to use this in an adventure map? I will credit you for the resource pack.
Thanks.

I just updated the language pack for the first time in 2+ years!

My personal motto: My only desire is that I leave so deep an impression on you as you have left on me.
I'll try to answer some of those questions:
Pretty sure that S in SITB stands for Shack.
Check the abandoned Lore thread for GROT.
Maybe the water valve simply stores the water inside it, then all of the water evaporates when smelted in the furnace.
Say a prayer for all the REQs who still remember...
We really should make an updated Lore thread
Yes you may

someone without mcpatcher would see it as broken.
Thanks for the information, although putting it into one post might've been slightly better, not that email notifications work on this forum anyway.
