C'mon, a texture pack can't turn trees into stilt-houses, or caves into bomb shelters, or skeletons into easily-sunburnt partially-or-close-to-insane humans! It's not a mod!

In my opinion, the Mega Taiga biomes should be bombed-out city biomes, seeing as there's scrap metal (mossy cobble boulders) and towering ruined skyscrapers(large spruce trees) with patches of asphalt or concrete(Podzol). of course we'd have to change the textures for the spruce trees to fit. but i think that last days needs an urban style biome. This same concept could be applied to the Ice Spike biome if this one doesn't go through
We could add biome specific mob textures with MCpatcher (Random mobs feature) but if we get the soundpack back they will use those sounds i.e. All cows will sound like robot cows.

The textures you've all posted have given me some ideas. I will try some new textures for 1.8. Hope to post results soon. Keep up the idea streams comrades.
Recognizing that I'm a little late here, (Since they broke email subscriptions I haven't been easily able to follow this thread), I'd like to make sure you knew that I was satirizing the conversation above me. I was, after all, using this pack when History had just taken it over.
Also, did anyone here see my suggestion (was it two pages ago now?) about making the sponges into defunct water boilers that need their batteries recharged every few (hundred) gallons? Nobody ever responded, and I can't do textures worth anything.

I didn't see that, but that is a great idea. You could also make it a water heater with the same functions.

Awesomelego554, thanks for the music pack. I'm using it in my Last Days version, which is right below, and I encourage everyone to try it out. It has that nice, apocalyptic vibe to it (which, in one sense, means it has grass that actually looks dead).

Nice Idea! We Might Do That After We Create The 1.8 Textures, And Find Someone Who Can Make 3D Textures (Unless Someone Already Has That Talent).
