good to see this pack is still crawling where others have failed, I hope that this wont fall, not quite sure I want to go all the way back to 1.6 to use this texture though, which is why the ever slowly great chain called "updates" has left me to stay to 1.6.4. I look forward to seeing a titan texture rise such as this one :).

Yeh, sorry for the error. I meant to say 1.6+
Not just 1.6.

Major release numbers (1.6, 1.7, etc) are the general numbering scheme for Texture/Resource packs. It's not the same as with mods, where minor releases (1.6.1, 1.6.2, etc) would often cause mods to need re-building. There are rarely more than bugfixes in minor releases, and there's usually no major code changes within MC that would cause resource packs to stop working.
So, when we say 1.6 or 1.7 in regards to resource and texture packs, you can normally rest assured that it'll work for all of the following minor releases. The one and only thing you need to wait for (for full set of features to work) is either MCPatcher (recommended) or Optifine. MCPatcher brings the pack to full potential, while Optifine adds only some features that MCPatcher does. If you're into mods, both MCPatcher and Optifine should play nicely with most of them, but I don't know how well both at the same time would work.

I used to maintain the Minecraft Forums Mod List. However, life has stepped in the way of that. Perhaps later...

How do you install forge with mcpatcher then because before 1.6 all you had to do was drop forge into the mcpatcher patch and away you go. But now I don't know what to do?

You just install forge the normal way, then patch the Forge profile.

I've not had any problems with it myself for most things. What are unwanted results?
To be honest i stopped trying to do it a little while after 1.6.4 came out so I don't remember I will go at it again and see what happens. As for your question figured out that it ranges from severe lag (so severe that the game doesn't' start) or lots of crashes. But usually the other.

I don't often make my own textures; mostly I scrap together what I can. In any case, I did the minecart with command block. If you tell me what's wrong with it and how to improve it, I will try again.
Those planks looks good für a normal, destroyed house. Love it!
The problem I have with those planks is that they don't look destroyed at all. They look like fancy parquet, and Last Days wood isn't even wood at all. It's supposed to be scrap aluminum.

There is some actual wood though; I think spruce wood is actually wooden. Anyway, I think Last Days Textures should reflect the past, so no shiny "new" textures.

No need to hold that back. If you have something, best to share it immediately.
