Holy Cybernetic Ratificator and Allocator for Probes the lang file is in need of some love.
I was going through and fixing the 1.8.x one today, and thought I'd have a look at the 1.9 version. It appears that there is still work to do.
Plants in particular need some work (and thought) put into their name and lore - they yield different dyes and their name has to match that.
Changes/fixes for 1.8:
-changing more of the titles and settings (adding the colon-brackets, periods, and underscores)
-fixing the names of sand, sandstone, red sand, and red sandstone to make sense (red concrete powder, etc.)
-fixing/adding names for plants that fit in with their look and what dyes they give
-adding names for granite, andesite and diorite and their polished variants
-changing the monster ASC's to infested blocks (eg. Stone Brick Monster ASC = Infested Stone Bricks)
-fixing spawn eggs, such as the horse becoming HORS etc.
-changing guardians into some kind of submarine (I'll come up with a name for them and use the lore that was provided on this topic somewhere)
-changing prismarine blcoks/lanterns into submarine base walls/lamps
-probably something else I've forgotten
I'm not going to touch any of the new things in 1.9 or 1.10 (beetroot, the whole end, polar bears, etc.) because of the lore, except for spelling corrections. I'm not sure what direction we are taking with these things so I'll leave them up to discussion.
I'll keep you posted with how I get on (pun intended).
I've finished the 1.8 lang file for the remastered version (so it will have different wool textures etc.), save for a handful of command responses and banners, which I think don't need changing anyway.
I'm also in the process of writing explanations and lore for everything that's been re-named or given a name, in an effort to tie-in with the LAST DAYS universe. I will upload the lang file and accompanying lore once it is finished.

Changing those commands would make it hard to interpret what was being said, so I'll leave them for now. As for banners, if anyone has a suggestion for a name, you can change it yourself, there are heaps of lines in the lang file just for banners
So, if the issue of making loot tables is still a thing, I found this guide to help making them. I have no idea if it's good or not but it looks complete.

Please don't die. Also, I have been studying loot tables, and I think I can do them. Any ideas on what the mobs should drop? I'll edit this post with ideas later.

Speaking of maps, I just finished retiring from a map I've been working on for 2 years! Tbh life is the main reason I couldnt finish it completely though.
I am a little overwhelmed by the things that need to be done. i will try to help keep the pack going at least until 2018.

Many people use photoshop and microsoft paint. I use pixlr.com, which is free online photoshop.

Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.
