I'm currently working on a texture pack of my own and I'm down to the last few sections - mainly the fabric bricks. It's based on Castlevania: SotN and I have a dearth of options for carpeting, unfortunately.
I was thinking about using these slots as alternate texture options for wall/flooring/decorative brick types I'd like to have but did not have space for on the main blocks. However, this creates a bit of a conflict in that they would not all necessarily match up with existing creations color-wise (relevant in multiplayer mainly), and if you're extra picky (like me) you'd also note that bricks that were supposed to be stone/wood/etc. were making soft footstep noises when walking over them. I can also do palette swaps for the few carpet-like textures I've found, I'm just curious which people would prefer.
So, for you, how important is it that the fabric bricks are kept to their original colors? Feedback is greatly appreciated!

I believe it depends on the usage of the texture pack. One of my maps features a custom pack, and I had the same dilemma as you. However, I made a second one for normal gameplay that uses its own matching wool types. I feel like if a person is going to use the pack as their main pack, they will want the wool colors to be the same. If they are playing a custom map, then it doesn't really matter because they turn it off when they are done.

Is it okay for this to be here or would it be possible to have the post moved? :unsure.gif:
