So, I saw how popular some pixel art packs got, and tried my own hand at it. Probably not as good as the greatests, but I think it looks nice. I use only five shades per color, and reuse palettes now and then. This texture pack is not up for download yet because I'm too lazy to do it right now and I'm not sure, with how unfinished it is, that I want it released yet. But for now, feedback and such is appreciated.

A simple forest.
A taiga.
Sand, ore, water, stone, all at once!
No download until the next update, but if you wanna use it early, try the terrain.png. :wink.gif:
Only if you've looked at the TAU thread, otherwise, it is all original.
See above reply.
And what is bad about the sand?
1. I wanted feedback.
2. I'll look at them, but I think they're fine. .-.
3. Yay me
Mainly the dark lines. but its just imo. also the only texture i like is the birch tree :|
at least it's better than most of the crap in the texture pack category tbh
Faceless, that was really harsh. If your going to post rude comments, at least tell him how to improve.
Personally I find the leaves to be awesome, however i do believe that the water is too contrasted. Bring down those white values to a blue color, and for the sand, remove the highlights and shadows. There should be very little contrast with sand (funny how im saying that), and ive learned that you really only need 3 colors that are slightly shifted in hue and brightness to pull off some sexy sand.

Thats my input, use it well :smile.gif:
I said in the OP that I already know the water looks terrible, and that I'll get to fixing it, but I'll see what I can do about the sand.
I now have a name. A bit unsure about it, but the pack's kind of dusty-ish. :u
I have an update ready, (with a fix to the water, but I couldn't make better sand) but I am not on the computer with the files to release it. Sorry!

There's yet more to come!
some textures DO seem familiar tho
2) Not just the water looks terrible, the leaves are pretty bad as well.... The leaves are far too spaced out.
3) At least you know how to tile...

Retired StaffWhen are you going to post a download link?
Maybe I'll just do that right now.
Epiclink Style wasn't much more finished when it got a download link.

For anyone who has copied the terrain.png to use this pack early, enjoy. I'll probably actually release it next update.
