This terrain texture will allow you to see through stone so you can see Caves and Ores
1. Download it from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?1v9iks69qdqdrf8
2. Rename it terrain.png
3. Go to run, type %appdata%, open .minecraft, open bin and then open minecraft.jar with either WinRar Archiver or 7zip
4. Press t until you can see terrain.png then select it and delete it or move it
5. Place the new terrain.png file from your downloads into the minecraft.jar
6. Open Minecraft and test it out

I would reccommed finding the pack.txt and pack.png in Minecraft.jar, editing them, highlighting them and making them a .zip file which can just be put in the texture packs folder
