Yeah, I would like to keep running my mouth. I have the right of freedom of speech and there is no rule against rating some one elses pack, and yeah it does matter how long it took me to make it. If it took me four months to make my pack, and it took him two days to make his, who deserves more credit? And why are you trashing my texture pack if you did not even put in the effort to make your own?

And if it takes you four months to put a dot on a piece of paper, and a week for someone to paint a van gogh, who should get the credit? the one who's better. Don't bash his **** if yours is worse. Guy's stop flaming the thread. Both of you are completely wrong about everything, so I will point out why, for each person:
Crontic: Bad: You are most in the right here, although, just because you are twelve does not give you any disadvantage or sympathy for making a pack.
Good: Your pack is better than this guys one, that is the honest truth, well done. You were also very honest and actually helped this guy instead of giving him false hope, again, welld one.
FlameSpike: Bad: You constantly flamed Crontic about his pack. You have no concept that the OP's pack is actually bad and unorigional, at least Crontic tried. You also have no idea how long it can take to make decent packs. Some people started during Alpha and are still developing their packs. You're a professional artist? Hard to believe. Also, Crontic did give better CC than you have. You gave the OP false hope, when his pack is bad.
To the OP, you need to work more on the form and shading of your pack. Try to make an origional idea before developing and try to see wether the pack has been done before.
The point of a 'simple pack' is to make it clean, neat, and with good coloring. Not having it being shaded, or having it be fancy. With what he's going for, his pack is great. I'm not giving him false hope. He cleaned up the defaults, and never said he did anything more. And I brought his pack into this discussion because he's talking about simple packs when his pack is just as simple as anyone else's. Don't tell me that I was don't know what's good and bad and unoriginal. He never said he made the best new thing since sliced bread. all he said was that he made a basic clean pack. and for what he was aiming for, he hit the mark perfectly. If he wanted something new and orignial that's what he would have posted. he posted a cleaned up, basic pack. And as for me not being a professional artist, believe what you want. I'm currently in the process of redesigning a website for a client. and that's the truth. Don't believe it, then that's on you.
The fact that anyone would argue for this is entirely wrong. There was obviously very little effort put into it, what with the stray pixels in the door window, dark grey wool being default, and the small bit of default stone in diamond ore at the top left.

I'm just 13 I can use java, photoshop and I can understand if something looks good or not. You just need to use the texture pack to see how it is. You have never experienced it and you have no idea and no rights to talk about it badly. You need to try things then comment on things. Btw: I've just passed 200 downloads :biggrin.gif:.

Ok, seriously? All you did was go over the default(and badly for that matter, what with the stray pixels and default parts), using the same colours and the same shapes. Just because its basic doesnt mean it has to be flat, boring and ugly. You seriously have no idea what looks good and what doesnt, this looks terrible and I am fed up of people posting **** like this. Please, STOP!

[FYI: Making one simple texture doesn't make my eyes useless. They work perfectly and still I know what is looking good or not. In addition to this everyone doesn't have to like same types of texture packs :smile.gif:]
