Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a texture pack in the hopes of re-creating the atmosphere of Aperture Science. I intend this pack to be used for level design and hope that others will use it in their adventure maps. I'm hoping I can get some help with some aspects of creating the texture pack, but most of all I would like comments and criticism.
Here are some pictures showing an example of the texture pack at work, and what I have completed so far:
Wow. Amazing! When i looked at the name i thought it was something like a mod. I wanted to make it clear the Aperture means "Opening". DUUH. Anyone who plays portal probably knows that :tongue.gif:
Thanks guys! I'm really trying my hardest to make an appealing texture pack. To be honest, I'm a terrible artist, and my digital paint skills are limited. I would be grateful if we could make this a sort of collaboration within the community.
This is a great pack, it stands out from the other portal packs, alot. I would be happy to help, i have a good amount of digital art experience! (http://icc-art.blogspot.com/) And also, i have one recommendation, You should make the grass look like grass and the dirt look like dirt, instead of the metal(ish) look you have right now, so people can make good looking ruined facility parts.
