What this is:
This texture pack came into development shortly after the release of my KDS Photo Realism texture pack. It started out as a Work In Progress based on my website for people to try out early beta's. The feedback was positive and so I continued to work on it.
The aim of this texture pack is to look beautiful, highly detailed and on par with how Minecraft looks.
It's one of the best packs I have ever developed. Please enjoy it and provide as much feedback as possible!

Please respect that and not steal my textures.
If you wish to use them, drop me a pm or an email and I will decide whether or not you can use them.
If I do not reply, do NOT use my textures. Only use them with explicit permission from me.

Mod Support:
As it currently stands I have just started adding mod support for my texture packs so don't expect a whole lot just yet...
(Click the resolution you want to get the textures, installation video is coming soon (Should be relatively simple to figure out anyway)
That being said ALL of my texture packs contain Connected Textures mod support.
Support:
I spent many weeks and months working on this texture pack.
Countless hours have gone into creating and tweaking each and every texture.
Should you feel like offering me lovely cup of tea please click the Donate Button:
If you can't donate feel free to support the pack by placing this in your signature:
omg yessss bin waiting ages for this
thnx for uploadin
heres my suggestion for texture support pls make support for Better grass and snow mod pls pls pls
Glad you really like this.
I knew you'd prefer this to trying an unfinished beta.
Your suggestion has been noted.
Funnily enough I use that mod myself and have already made those textures.
However I am waiting on the mod author to change certain features about it before publishing :smile.gif:
Hmmm I haven't used that mod in a long time.
Last I checked the mod had incredible lag when using a higher resolution texture pack. I talked to the author about it and he acknowledged that there is a problem with his code.
However whether he's fixed it yet I can't say.
I guess I'll have a look into it :smile.gif:
One problem though, whenever i try to load the 256x pack the textures of the torches and furnaces are telling me to use the patcher to animate them, but i can see the particles coming out of them and water and lava work just fine. when i use the patcher it doesnt make a difference and i dont have this problem with the 128x pack. I do use a water shader and optifine though, could these be causing the problem?
EDIT: sorry for the first spam message my computer f'ed itself

I really need to get around to adding installation instructions to my texture pack descriptions.
Sorry about that.
But yes. I am an avid mcpatcher supporter. I am all for Optifine but it's so incompatible with so many mods I do not support it at all until then. Your experience right now is an example as to why I do not support it.
Your problem is indeed Optifine. Optifine isn't updated to adjust to how mcpatcher works with animated textures.
Kahr updated mcpatcher so you can put animated images inside a folder called "anim" instead of cluttering the entire zip folder with custom animations.
If you start a fresh jar, install mcpatcher and the rest of your mods except for Optifine I expect it to work.
However this is very inconvenient for you (I know :tongue.gif: )
So here's how I suggest you should go about it:
- Open the texture pack zip folder with WinRAR or 7zip (Both are free).
- Inside you will see the "anim" folder. Pull that folder out into the desktop or wherever you want it to be.
- Open that "anim" folder after extracting it to somewhere.
- Drag all of the contents (All of the custom_... files basically) into the ROOT of the texture pack zip folder.
(This means the screen you see as soon as you open the zip file with all the folders inside e.g. achievement, anim, armor etc)
- Now you should see all the custom_... files next to all the folders, terrain.png, particles.png and pack.png
- Play the game, the animated textures will now work.
I hope you understood that. :biggrin.gif:
Glad you like the texture pack.
The doorknobs don't always appear on the correct side of the door (in fact they may never), the cobblestone is too bright, and the text is too big.
That being said, the textures are incredibly realistic and masterfully done otherwise. Great work, but those few problems are annoying enough to find another pack.

Oops... I knew I forgot something.
I'll be sure to fix the doors up when I update the pack, most likely going to update for 12w04a eventually as there are new textures in it.
As for text, I actually made the font after I made the GUI for it, if you're referring to that being too big. Because realistically the letters are using the same amount of space as the actual Minecraft font.
The cobblestone contrast has always been an issue. Ever since I created the bump map for it and tweaked around with different brightness and contrast settings, I can't seem to find the perfect balance. So I just burned the gaps between the stones to about 50%. Any higher actually looked much worse.
I may make a new cobblestone texture but this version has actually grown on me and feels just right for the pack.
The idea of this pack isn't to look realistic but to have a lot of detail, while following the traditional look of Minecraft.
nice one ! i like it. since OVO rustic pack is over, i use your texture pack..
i love both, thank you man, keep it up to date :smile.gif:
The Rustic pack is over? That's a damn shame.
Always liked the style of that pack.
Glad you like my pack :smile.gif:
I will always keep it up to date (official release updates naturally)
I am still considering releasing an update for the 12w04a.
I'll think about it, it's a snapshot so not many people will be using it :/
omg 12w04a is amazin
will u be uploadin textures for it soon or waitin for 1.2
also when is poll ending coz its close lol
I agree it's much better than 12w03a that's for sure.
Yes I will be uploading textures for it as soon as they are complete.
Not sure when that will be because cats take a while to draw. Took me a good few hours to even do the wolves textures!
The poll will be ending tomorrow. It is indeed close but it seems that most people wish me to upload textures for various mods.
Can't to upload the ones I've already done.
Oops forgot to end the poll heh.
The poll is over!
Thanks to everyone who voted.
I will continue working on this pack and as you all want it, I will be uploading mod support textures too.
First I'll be uploading textures for Better Grass and Snow mod and next... Who knows?
when are the mod textures coming iwant them already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soon I hope.
I have been under the weather for quite some time. I think I'm getting better, so much so I actually made a video.
I'm working to get 1.2 textures out of the way first then I'll release some mod textures.
How does that sound?
This is for everyone who is having problems getting this to work.
Just when I thought it couldn't get better than KDSphotorealism... you came out with this. A phenomenon. Everytime I try and create my pack I see something like this and my self confidence drops so low... but seriously, wow.

I too was shocked by the level of detail I put into this.
Don't give up trying to make texture packs. If you enjoy it, carry on with it. It's what I do.
I'm glad you like it.
