Hey guys I'm working on a metroid texture pack in 256x. I'm having A LOT of trouble trying to get the textures from the actual 3d games to bnase this off of, so if you help mke find some I'll add you to a little thanks secgtion if I use it :happy.gif:
Anyhow this is an HD texturepack and you will need to use mc patcher
This is nowhere near complete
All i changed are the bow, arrow, and the swords (but at the same time, I'm using the Matmos mod I've added in some metroid sounds for charging and blasting, still working on other sounds; no they are not released yet)
Diamond sword (I don't lke it, probably will change):
and a sorta outdated, but interesting video showcasing the sounds.

Are done but won't be in a download until future update (probably around 20%-30% complete), these will require the mod Matmos

-Bow and Arrows
-Swords (Subject to change)
-Pickaxes (Subject to change)
-Inventory GUI
-All 3 kinds of wood (not the stumps)
Samus Visor GUI (Put pumpkin on your head)

LOL, what server is this? ALSO, it would be PRETTY DANG COOL if you used the interior of the clone helmets from Star Wars Republic Commando, or at least based it on them.

and I'll look into that. I'm not that good with textures, in the beginning I was hoping to find some Metroid Prime 1 textures extracted from the game, but couldn't find some, Here's hoping I can get them of my Metroid Trilogy disc lol.
HOWERVER: I'm relatively good with editing, and I'm trainging myself with GIMP and paint.net to make some textures 100% on my own, and just basing them off off textures I see ingame.
If you need help, I'm kinda handy with Photoshop. Never textured in my life though...
Any help you could put in would be much appreciated :smile.gif: this weekend I plan on taking A LOT of pictures on my metroid game so i can attempt to recreate them on my pc.
Post those pictures from the game, or maybe send them to me. I'll do armor (or at least try!) if you want. I assume I just create a Photoshop document 256 pixels by 256 pixels and go to town?

Loving that inventory GUI. Is there like a logo to Metroid though? Maybe you could put that in the background of where your character is in the inventory.

dude that's awesome. Actually to tell the truth when I went to post this I saw like 2 minecraft metroid threads and i was like.... maybe all of a sudden a bunch of us crave MetroidxMinecraft lol.

Make the EnderDragon Ridley, and slimes metroids, so you could recreate the first level in super metroid, where you have to save the mini metroid from the ridley.

Yeah I am taking my time as well, and I made my inventory.png straight from Metroid Prime itself. I am also getting some of the 128x textures done already :biggrin.gif:
Also, I used matmos and I gave my energy sword/diamond sword item the actual energy sword sound.
My brothers had to dig their jaws out of the ground after showing them XD

I'm to impatient to get this done fast lol, My formation of GIMP and Paint.net and my pc going bs isn't the best :] lol.

As for credits, I'm using LB Photo Realism's txtures for place holders since all the items are in one png file.
