If you wouldn't mind doing so, I would love a PM when the pack is ready for download, as I really want to do a screenshot/caption-style review of these textures! Thanks, Steel!

SQUEEEEEE!
This is looking really good. Can I get some of that PM action too?
Okay, I'm going to nip this in the bud before it gets out of control.
I'm ecstatic that you guys like this pack (and I hope you will download when it comes out :3) but I'm not going to PM everyone who likes it to tell them when it's available. This thread is here for a reason-- namely, to make it easy for you guys to to find the pack, and it make it easy for me to update. Just check back every once in a while. :smile.gif:
Personally, Feather, I'm not really a fan of the chest. I have a feeling I'd like it more if it actually matched the colour of the rest of the wood. Though I adore the swirly tall grass. <3 The glass is also sorta meh in my opinion, but I prefer glass that you can actually see a full picture through. Personal preference. =D<br/>
All you people with your clear glass planes and your wood-colored chests. :tongue.gif:
Don't you ever hunger for something different once in a while??
nudes? who mentioned nudes and...WHERE ARE THEY!?!1/11ONE!?11 just kidding, you are my forum mother, it would be rather perverse! On topic, though, I don't think people should persuade you to change the chest or glass, they are perfect!
I agree, I mean with the on-topic stuff, I'm fine with the glass, and I trust you when you say we'll get used to the chests.
For once, I actually like the look of "fancy" glowstone in a 16x texture pack. Also, I like how you made the bricks in the nether brick run upwards instead of having the pattern mesh horizontally; it looks better when you make larger builds to be honest. Can't wait to see this pack finished!
Now to actually work on the pack I was going to make while listening to Arcade Fire... [hasnotalentmakingtexturepacks] I'll just work on finishing that old Dead Space GUI from alpha instead. [/hasnotalentmakingtexturepacks]

I really wanted to do something different than the standard 'brick'-esque brick....so I turned them sideways!
I like to think of it as the remnants of some long-lost civilization-- a version of Atlantis swallowed up by the depths of the earth...
...unless you don't like the lava. But still-- fresh lava! Hot out of the--....nether? *badum-tis*

Oh, how did I miss?! I apologize, it's very nice. And if by "looks like leo's", if by it's orangey-red and has chunks of rock in it, well then yes, but so does most lava.
I really like this pack. Probably my new second favorite. My favorite of course being my own WIP pack :wink.gif: I like that it has a nice touch of realism but isn't so desaturated like a lot of other 'realistic' packs are. I also dig your warm color scheme. I'm using a dominantly cool one for my own work, so it'll serve as a nice contrast for me... once you publish it. :wink.gif:
A better name? Hmmm... Warm and rustic... Hmmm...
How about "Hearthcraft"! :biggrin.gif:
You know, a hearth. Warm old-timey fireplace. What do you think? :smile.gif:
I have a name suggestion that sticks to the 'FeatherCraft' name, if you still want other names for the pack:
Pinna Artis. It's latin for Feather Craft.

The furnace? I think that's one of my favorite textures out of the whole pack!

Retired StaffI do indeed have a (mini) update. I'm hoping to get more done by the end of tonight, though, so keep an eye out.

ONE of these days people will say, 'hey, that looks like ___ from steelfeathers' pack!'
Kidding. Glad you like it. :smile.gif:

Retired Staff82 people looking at this thread.

@PsychoSupreme: I like the idea behind 'hearthcraft', but I always feel myself spitting and lisping when I say it, even in my head. Why? No clue. XD
I think I might as well just stick with feathercraft. Otherwise people might get confused. :tongue.gif:
