Any estimate as to when this pack will be ready for 1.2? It's so lovely!
I'm working on it. The version available right now is technically 1.2 compatible, unless you want those round stone blocks that are only available in creative mode. I just need to finish up the villagers-- or, alternatively, remove the half-finished skins and post what I have.
Loving this tp, SteelFeathers. I'm looking forward to more quality updates.
I'm very much in love with the jungle tree lumber texture, however I'm afraid to say that there is one thing that bothers me -- the fact that the horizontal edges of the texture are darkened. This works well when it's not tiled together, but considering that jungle trees are generally always "big trees" I think it looks a bit odd.
I'm left desiring an "unshaded" texture.
Just my two cents.
Please keep up the wonderful work.

I actually made it like that on purpose-- I wanted the trees to look like they had deep grooves in them (google rainforest trees if you don't know what I'm talking about). But I can certainly make one without the shading if it bother you so much. :]
Love this texture pack and anticipating it's full release.
What you see is what you get-- this mostly IS the full release. Cause I can gaurentee that I'll never one day put up a tag saying 'Complete-- final version'. There will always be new textures to update for, or new alternates to add, or things I want to go back and change.
My suggestion would be to download now. Otherwise you'll be waiting for a very long time.
So, you were joking when you said you was abandoning it. Right?
Also, these lamps are cheap >.< Just a red dot in the middle? Really?
I've stated many times that I like my lantern glowstone. I had to find a way to edit it to turn it into a lamp.
If you dislike it you are welcome to change it.

Oh..I do see that now, the "grooves" in the tree trunk. It's a good idea, I hadn't actually thought about that. XD But I guess that's what makes you the artist and not me! Haha.
EDIT: Actually....playing on my new world, I think the shading is actually growing on me. You don't need to create an unshaded version of the texture if you don't want. I think I'm happy using the one already provided. But thank you for listening to my concerns anyways and being so willing to address them.
Could something like this work as the raw glowstone chunks? I just scrambled it together really quickly.
(It's tiled and resized, if you couldn't tell)
~ I just thought you would have enough creativity to come up with two different textures instead of one with a red dot.

I may eventually make raw glowstone chunks, but at the moment I much prefer my glowstone lanterns, since they allow me to have nice streetlamps without having to do complicated redstone wiring.
I'm guessing that you didn't mean your final comment to be insulting, but I found it rather hurtful. I would ask you to keep in mind that I've made this entire pack from scratch-- the fact that what I like differs from what you like does not mean that I lack creativity.
I have managed to convert my friend into using this texture pack. =3 It's now the official one for my server. And he says that you've done an amazing job, but he requests that the armour be done asap. Though I told him that you'll get to it at your own pace. xD

Could you make the current glowstone texture the lantern and make a new, more natural glowstone block?

The conversation you quoted was about the fact that I don't want to change the current glowstone texture into something more rocky and natural. I like my nice fancy streetlamps. ^^
I'm not saying that I'll never make an alt natural glowstone texture, it's just not at the top of my to-do list.
By the way. Steel. You /might/ want to fix your thread with links to all your packs on it. It's pretty messed up.
I've found with my Epiclink Style thread on the update that all you really have to do is open the edit thingy and then just update the post. You don't really have to edit anything, it's all done for you.
Well, there may be a thing here and there, but for the most part, it fixes itself.

Retired StaffThat is so bizarre. It looks fine to me.
I just did the 'edit' thing again-- does that help?
