I'm a player from way back in 2012 who hasn't really played Minecraft for years. (I searched this thread for posts under my old username and found four pages' worth, haha...) I downloaded the game again just now and I just wanted to say thank you so much for keeping this resource pack updated. It's been an irreplaceable, all-time favorite, "default" pack for me ever since I discovered it. I'm blown away and deeply grateful for the amount of work you've put into this over the years. Wolfhound has made my Minecraft experience so much better and it means so much to me that I can come back to this after so very long. You and Wolfhound are both such a gift, seriously. Thank you.

Thank you so much for saying this. This last update has made me want to quit texturing, to be honest, and it's so encouraging to hear this.
So, the Minecraft forums are going to be closing down soon, any other places I can follow you on to keep up to date with your resource packs?
Because I love these to death and want to keep up with every update I can.
[Edit]: It'd have helped if I read your last post, wow I'm dumb.
Reddit seems kinda clunky, I'm afraid PMC might give me viruses.
Discord perhaps?
I know DeviantART lets you upload resource packs but that's worse than Reddit. lol

I've seen reddit get tossed around a couple times now and it does already have a community for Minecraft. If texture packs had their own subreddit it'd keep the volume down and make announcements easier to find, but otherwise, yeah, it'd be a bit clunky. PMC might be viable, their UI is pretty 90's-tastic but it gets the job done. Smart browsing still applies, but I wouldn't consider it riskier than the rest of the internet. DeviantArt is pretty much dead to me, I don't use it anymore. But if that's where people happened to migrate... I could pick it up again. I'm skeptical that'll happen though.
There IS a texture discord, but I'm not finding the link to it on the forum anymore. I'll try to find out if that's going to be a place to go.

Since I recently heard that the Minecraft forums are shutting down, I wanted to stop by and thank you for all your hard work and dedication over the years. I have been using your pack practically as long as I have played Minecraft. Sure, I would try another pack once in a while, but they never had the care or aesthetic that the various Wolfhound packs had. Inevitably, I would always go back to this one or just play with vanilla textures.
Whether you choose to continue it or not, and where ever you may put it, I wanted to thank you first. So, thank you. Thanks for creating a pack that I have enjoyed over the years I have played, that grew with the game, and is almost as nostalgic as Minecraft itself for me. Thank you for the different packs as well. I would Normally use Dark around Halloween and use the seasons packs in their corresponding seasons. I think a lot of people download this pack, but never thank you for it. I just wanted to give you some thanks after so many years of not doing so.
No matter how many resource packs I go through I keep coming back to Wolfhound in the end. Your style captures so many themes perfectly that really paints minecraft in amazingly various lights. From an artistic perspective I am always blown away, and from a gaming perspective I'm immersed constantly with the textures around me.
I'm having a difficult time choosing a single set of textures, so it'll end up being two at least.
Thank you so much! It makes me happy to know people enjoy the texture packs. And some of those paintings are real, in that I painted them irl and photoshopped them down to size! I think it'd be nice to have 100% painted paintings someday, but unfortunately I like to paint creepy stuff and that doesn't necessarily work with all the texture packs.
I've been kind of bad about keeping up with my texture pack work this past week... I went on a short vacation to ride roller coasters with a friend (so fun!) and then I got back and haven't had a lot of motivation. I got some bad news about one of my cats on Monday, he's got kidney disease, so I'm having to change his diet and give him subcutaneous fluids via IV. But at least he's eating the new food and doesn't seem to mind being poked with a needle, so hopefully that'll help him out. It's still been pretty stressful though. I've got a needle phobia so I'm having to get over that REAL fast here.
I'll be leaving for a 2-week vacation this weekend. I'll be camping with limited internet access, so obviously I won't be able to work on textures. There's no way I'm getting all the changes done before then, either, so it might be a little before the packs are fully up-to-date. I wish this weren't the case, but Microsoft seems to be doing a lot of texture-heavy releases and honestly, I'm struggling to keep up.
But I WILL get caught up. I have a goal of working on textures for at least an hour every day. Except Wednesdays. Those are my days off.
Thank you! I'm doing pretty good. Working away at the last three packs that need unique textures. Everything is at least 1.14 compatible and once I'm happy with the three remaining I'll be able to update the customizer. It's getting close.

Just checked in and saw it updated! I want to thank you again for all your hard work on both the main pack and the additional variations. I hope the camping trip was fun! I have been hiking out in the Blue Ridge mountain ranges, but only for day trips myself; I don't have the gear to do much else. I am always glad to see someone else who enjoys hiking!
Wow, I can't believe this pack is still going after all these years! This (well Thistle, actually) was always my favorite texture pack.
Of course, that was back when there was just Minecraft. Now I was about try playing with my wife and we are migrating to Windows 10 / Xbox crossplay. I'm assuming no plans to port it? I attempted to run it through a converter and it largely worked, but there were a few oddities. I might be able to whittle it down, but figured I'd ask here first in case I missed something.
Regardless, I am just really stoked to see that this is still here. Fantastic work.
I've been away from Minecraft for a few years now due to life and stuff, but I got back as of late for fun and stuff.
I've tried to keep up with your resource packs, but being away so long sort of made that hard, but now that I'm back I decided to finally update all your packs and my gosh you have been busy and they all look phenomenal.
With each new update I'm always afraid you'll get fed up with all the new textures and quit but I'm glad to see that's not the case, because I adore these packs so much. (Though if you do want to stop feel free to, I love your works but want you to love to do them. lol)
Honestly your packs have aged so well, and all the new modern workbenchs look especially amazing, like I'm using them as decoration more than their function. lol
I do have a few small suggestions though.
1: The Fantasy pack is awesome, but the bow is a ball of magic that shoots magic, yet the crossbow is normal and... shoots magic?
The idea of a crossbow shooting magic is actually sort of cool though, dunno if you want to similarly to the bow turn it into a ball of magic or go with the "magic shooting crossbow" sort of thing, like the magic equivalent of a laser gun. lol (especially with fireworks sense they can be used as explosive rounds!)
Up to you, either way I'd love to see what you'd come up with.
2: The Winter pack is awesome, holly is also awesome, why not make the berry bushes holly? I know holly berries are poisonous but it'd be worth it. lol
I missed your packs so much, they honestly have been my favorites for the past 6 years and I don't see that changing.
Thank you so much for keeping this up to date.

I would love to port it, but I'm still catching up on 1.14 textures, so it might be a little bit before I can take the time. You're welcome to take a stab at it too, but I'll still need to figure out at some point what's going on to fix the oddities and keep it current. It's pretty high on my list of things to do someday.

Hi!!!! It's okay, life gets to us all. That's why I've been a little slow on catching up with 1.14 myself. It was such a big update and I had to redo all the villagers, which was greatly time-consuming. Fantasy is actually still being worked on. It's so close! Just need to finish up villagers. The crossbow is going to be a magic wand.
Awesome! Thank you so much!

The Seasons pack will be the next updated. It is 2/3 done. I'm going on vacation this weekend so expect it sometime next week.
I haven't figured out what to do about the forum closing yet. I'm open to suggestions.

Good, because I still didn't know where to go to keep track of your resource packs. lol

Hi!
Just wanted to say I love and miss your texture pack!
I hope you are able to update the customizer one of these days for 1.4.
Thank you and I hope you've been well.
