My wife and I are huge fans of our own ovo's based home mix, so we are totally blown away as we actually find this pack that better resonates with our taste! Today will go down in family history as the day we found Thistle's Wolfhound pack. We can't thank you enough for this! We will be sure to add you on Deviantart and check into your book!
I will make it to where the birch trees are sakura trees and all other trees be normal. If you are interested in knowing how, it is quite simple. You just use a pink gradient in mcpatcher's colormap folder within the pack.
this it a truly great texturepack. when I first saw it I thought it looked nice but when I played with it for a bit I was just blown away. the blocks are pretty the items are awesome and the art is just very beautiful and the scenery is amazing. truly you have made a wonderful texturepack. my hat is off to you friend.
ps. I took a dive in the pool I had and noticed that under water was fully white. I think it is doing that missing texture thing.
I love this texture pack, and have used it for a long while now.
But I had to vote that I'm not using the customizer because for some reason I'm not getting the ability to download it after I pick everything I like. Probably me being an idiot, or my browser being a sneaky bastid.. >.>
I remember one time I went to set a custom version of this pack, and then I hit the F5 key. Its only then I realized how time-consuming a process the current customizer is. I don't mean that in a bad way; the textures and images are organized well enough and its a simple point-&-click system. Its just... There are a whole bunch of textures to make personal choices on, man. I mean, if even just of few of them make you stop and think, you can be there for a good—I don't know—20 minutes or so. Though I think something that would really help would be having buttons for the various, obvious "group items". For example; two choices I always make with this pack when I use the customizer are selecting all of the birds for music discs, and selecting all of the Iron Dragon bucket variants ( <3 that bucket). Buttons for at least lists of obvious group sets like the birds (not really necessary for bucket variants or groups that small, though it'd still be to user benefit) would be a nice touch. As someone whose coded more than a few things, I could see how that might not be desirable to take on as work load, but its definitely not a terribly hard thing to do, and it the end it would, implemented well, really improve the end-user experience. A suggestion for no other reason than it never hurts to make an idea heard.
Also I just remembered I might as well get to making a new version of this in the customizer later, since I need to update to get some GUIs and whatnot.
Edit: Almost forgot; thanks for what you do! I always try to keep in mind and thank Texture Artists every now and then since I'm the kind of guy to have 15-20 of them in my folder at any given time. Its people like you who make the Minecraft experience for me, bringing customization to the one aspect of the game modders can't cover on their on. And I do appreciate it.
Hey there, Thistle. Love the texture packs. Recently got the updated versions of Fairy and Fantasy, which look awesome btw.
Well then, I have a question and feel free to deny it.
After getting the updated Fantasy pack, I noticed the flowers in my flower pots were... well, floating. They were still in the pot and the pot was still there but invisible. Now then, these particular pots I'm using are from the Painter's Flower Pots mod: http://www.minecraft...lower-pot-v159/
I have it cause it lets me place flowers from other mods into flower pots. For example, from Natura and Biomes O' Plenty. So I was wondering if it was possible to make it so that the pot renders correctly. It doesn't look any different from a vanilla pot except that Painter's Pots have no dirt inside to start off. I haven't tested to see if the pots render in other versions of your pack.
If you can do this, that would be splendid. If you can't do that, that's fine. Or if you simply just don't want to do it, I respect that. I'll use the Fantasy pack regardless cause it's just that cool.
Update: So I found a fix for my issue. Uncolored pots render invisible when placed, but once they have been colored, they render correctly on the outside but not on the inside. That's just fine and dandy cause it's hardly noticeable once I have dirt and a plant inside it.
Thank you so much, glad you like it. When you have problems with the white thing, is that with the default Wolfhound, or a customized version? I stay out of deep water when I play because I have a phobia.
Well, I FINALLY have some free time this weekend, so I can work on redoing the javascript that runs the site. Once I've got backbone implemented, I'm hoping I'll be able to add features a lot easier. We'll see. It's going to take some time to get this revamped though... so there may not be any updates for a little while. Man, I am so so glad I finally have free time to work on code. Been driving me up a wall.
I thought about that one. I tested all of them. I first had it on the wolfhound one. so I tested every one and the custom one. they all do that.
edit: ok um something odd happened. I was playing on a map and got knocked into the river by a zombie. my the water flashed white and clear a lot then my minecraft crashed and when I reloaded I could see in the water. there was no white.
edit: last one I promise. I found out the problem. someone told me "remove your level 10 respiration helm." when I did no more white water. so it was a minecraft thing not a pack thing. my bad. really sorry for any trouble.
Well, I'm glad it got resolved! No trouble, I don't mind helping people with minor debugging... especially when the problem resolves itself.
I love the type of problem that fixes it's self. oh and I got my famly and some friends into your pack. we are all using the editer (but using the main one as a base just moving the textures) you did a great job on that. you really went above and beyond on this on friend. if I had a hat it would be off to you. my world with the towns we built never looked better and I just love the katana. all my emeralds to you.
Haha, I'm glad you guys like it so much. I'm still working on stuff behind the scenes... been kind of a busy week for me. Got a job offer that I accepted and sadly, we had a friend die on Thursday. Been rough.
Well, I was hoping to get medieval classic released tonight (yes, it's that close) but I'm about to fall asleep here. It'll have to get done tomorrow. I've got sandstone and most of the redstone left.
I will make it to where the birch trees are sakura trees and all other trees be normal. If you are interested in knowing how, it is quite simple. You just use a pink gradient in mcpatcher's colormap folder within the pack.
We love this pack so much!!! THANK YOU!!!

Curse PremiumThank you very much. I will try to release it perhaps in some months. I won't know if it will fall in the time frame of 1.6.2, but I can try.

Curse PremiumThank you so much! I'm glad you like it. I'll check out the birch tree thing, it'd be nice to be able to update that to pink as well.

Hmmm. What browser you using with the customizer?

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm not very familiar with mods. But it seems you got it working, right?
Yep, yep, all is good.
