The customized did all KINDS of weird things the first time I tried. But the second time it pretty much got it. Not sure if you actually had a fire or nether portal image or not, but if you did then you should be aware they do not show up (so is spliced em in from another pack for myself). If you didn't... Er... No comment? This pack was a pretty fun put-together, but I realized pretty quickly you can end up with some serious mismatch though.
Its probably worth reminding people that if you made only a handful of mistakes, you can save yourself a lot of trouble by right-clicking and grabbing individual textures strait from the browser for minor tweaking. Right click ---> Open Image in New Tab was a MASSIVE time saver when I did this.

That's not a bad idea on the right-click save hint. I'll work up some better verbage for the site at some point. And a question. If I could stop some of the weird mismatches, would you prefer that, or the freedom to pick whatever?

Unnecessary. Some things, when mixed, make for great results. You only find out by trying it, and then entering the game. I only mentioned it because, honestly, I think some of these should've been given their own texture pack. I'm primarily referring to the creepy/diseased stuff. Totally separate in style and theme from everything else. Seems like it deserves its own pack, thread, and name if you ask me. Otherwise its all good.
And.... Maybe the 2nd armor sets need pants. Just saying. I laughed my ass off when I realized they were just shin braces and I was essentially walking around with exposed privates. I think I ended up trading in another of the bottoms images for the sake of decency, haha.
Oh, one last thing. The iron dragon bucket is the best thing in ever and will probably be my go-to bucket in all of my remixes and spliced packs (not posted or shared ones though; I only make personal, self-use mixes. I'm no thief D: ). If you don't I'll probably try up scaling it myself, but would you happen to half any higher res versions of it (x128 and/or x256)? Just figured I'd ask. Thanks for the pack!
A lot of these probably deserve their own pack, but I reeeeally don't want to manage more than one thread. Hence the 'flavors'.
I probably won't change armor at this point... you can always mix and match. With the plate armor I assume the player will have a skin with something on underneath.
I really can't scale these images up, sadly. It just looks really bad. I'm sorry.

Makes sense.
Also makes sense. It is what I did.
Thank you very much for trying. I'll try my own hand at it. What I might do is take the image, remove everything but the bare outline, upscale that, and recreate it by hand given the outline as a reference. Should allow me to get the desired image at a higher resolution without destroying it via upscale.
Well yeah. Thanks for getting back to me. Wish you luck with the pack in the future, especially with the whole "resource pack" system coming up that will probably turn texture pack building up-side down again.

the only real diference i've seen so far is that resource packs invlude sounds, languages, and other stuff, and texture packs just include... textures. i don't think there will actually be any "easy to break" thing on it.
I'm a bit nervous about the resource pack system. I really, really, really don't want it to break everything.
Connected Texture Mod anything breaks, as far as I know. Other than that, and few of the other fancy features associated with Optifine and MCpatcher, it supposedly is working pretty well.
Ah, so you did. Funny story, I remember first using the customizer, I thought I'd broke something because the texture pack wouldn't be recognized when I dumped it in the folder because I didn't realize that some texture packs only function when they stay zipped. I would normally unzip all my texture packs because on my Windows 7 partition (I roll a dual-booted Retina MacBook Pro) I don't have a unzipping tool at the moment, because I'm a lazy dip and if I wanted to make custom texture packs and what not I'd have to switch operating systems each time.
So yeah, total rambling about how the customizer learned me a thing about Minecraft. Wonder if resource packs are the same way.
Anyway, I remember you had a sandstone texture in the customizer that the caption says you planned to remake or something.
I got a little bored this morning, and while I was poking around in the customizer I noticed that there wasn't a torch shape + style that I really -loved-. I like the standard length of a torch, 'cause it looks nice generally in builds, but I also liked the Fairy pack's style. I tried a quick mashup of the two torches.
I really love the color palette of the Fairy pack, but with the Fairy torch it only looks nice when on a horizontal surface because of how the texture gets "stretched" a little bit when placed on vertical surfaces. I don't think the little silver chain/gem will look nice on angles either (probably will be weirdly stretched since it wouldn't actually hang), but I hope this little image portrays the idea I'm trying to verbalize.
There's also the "Dirt without rocks" dirt option that I'd layered the long grass from the Fairy side dirt and side snow blocks. I only have Paint.NET so there's no real burn tool. Ended up using three layers to create a faux shadow. It doesn't look anywhere near as nice as yours, but it works
Something odd with the sign texture is that both the icon, and the full texture, are saved to the zip file but the actual in game sign is coming up MC default. I honestly have no idea how to troubleshoot that.
Thank you for putting so much work into this pack, and I hope your book does well!
What flavour is the "Roman Orthodox" enchanting table texture for?
I really like chiristian stuff in minecraft, as well as the Jerusalem Cross Pattern.
Those are neat textures! I do hope to someday have more dirt/grass options, once I get the customizer a bit better. I'll have to take a look at the sign... I'm probably putting stuff in the wrong spot.
It is for classic medieval. I'm going with what people traditionally think of when you say medieval for that one - cathedrals and castles and the likes.

Seriously.
I found this far funnier than I had any right to.
Also, random question thistle; why white-haired zombies? I actually find it useful for seeing them in the dark, so it isn't a complaint, just curious.
mesa happy!
BTW. It would be so very much cool if you tried to do 18th century-style turkish style because it had some Rococo influence which made it very cool.

I like texturing white hair. That's about it.
I'm not sure what time period I'm going to do yet, it will all depend on what search results Google gives up.
