Those spiders would be cuddly if they werent on a crusade to rip the flesh from my poor avatars. I'm glad you finally are getting more mob skins done If possible, i'd like to see more "living" opponent skins akin to the goblin "zombie," like a bandit/skirmisher skeleton or various assorted soldiers to fight. Unless it's a horror theme, I like the illusion that i'm battling against intelligent opponents rather than mindless slaves.
Ok, as for the steampunk, I think the concept of a "mechanical world" is a good one, and brings to light a more colorful version of the "metal stone" options in last days, one of my other favorite packs. The pipes you had were a bit to busy, and it would look a lot better if it were just straight pipes crisscrossed together. The ores should be various valves, control panels, ect. Maybe some disaster occoured on this artificial world and the gravel would be ground-up bits of rusted and destroyed springs, gears, and levers. Can lava be made transparent? maybe it could be superheated, boiling water leaking, as if it were waylaid on the way to a huge steam engine in the center of the world. Maybe some ores could be animated, like still-moving gears and pistons which can be melted down for tools?
... sorry if i injected my personal concepts in there XD but I almost get the impression thats the direction you had in mind to some degree anyway, so I hope you improve the pipe "stone" texture one way or another and ill be excited to check out whats next
Mob skins are actually what I dislike texturing the most, but it's not as bad since I've got some base skins done. We'll see what I get to - I do tend to bounce around quite a bit on what I'm working on.
Loving the ideas for the steampunk pack, it's very along the lines of what I was planning already. Not sure on transparency for lava, but that would be pretty sweet if I could do that. Might have to give it a try. I'll do some mock-ups on the pipe stone texture here, see if I can get something looking decent.
I've been using this for a while and, finding it absolutely amazing, decided to post my gratitude...
Ever since I learnt of texture packs I've been downloading them one after another, turning to realistic ones after trying out simple packs, and there are certainly some fantastic ones out there, but I always had some minor problems and quibbles and never found a set of textures that was truly my type - that is, until I discovered Wolfhound. It took some time to realise since I change so much, but this is totally my favourite.
It has everything I need - high definition, breathtaking details, stunning art, and a dazzling array of customising options. There are just so many themes I could use this texture pack year-round without ever feeling bored, switching to seasonal or brighter/darker textures whenever I feel like it and feasting my eyes on them. And it just keeps improving until I'm left speechless! It's simply flawlessly beautiful.
So for all of that, you have my deepest thanks. Minecraft is what makes my life more enjoyable, and for me Wolfhound is the perfect, essential adornment that graces the gameplay. Of course the other texture packs play a role as well, and I also appreciate them greatly, but yours is irreplaceable. Thank you so much! <3
P.S. I would definitely put your banner in my signature, but the particular challenge which currently occupies it is just too large a part of me to give up. Sorry; I would if I could ever put in two banners at once...

Thank you so much! Hearing things like this is really what makes Wolfhound rewarding, I mean I love making the textures, but it just makes me so happy to know that they're making Minecraft better for other people as well. It means a lot. *cue sappy music here*
That Tree Spirit challenge looks pretty cool, actually. I'm gonna have to try it out.
There is nothing more scrumptious than chocolate. Nothing. Do not argue with me on this. So, I decided to whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies, only to find that apparently my baking soda had... expired? Gone bad? Either way, they weren't fit to feed to the dog (chocolate chips, yanno). (this is a true story and the moral of it is - don't drink Wild Turkey while baking, it doesn't end well)
So since I've been burned on chocolate chip cookies, I decided to try some alternative chocolate goodness. Without further ado, I present: pocky.
Okay, that's not as spectacular as I hoped. Let me try again. Technically this isn't chocolate, but it's the same color, and I've seen it served with a hot chocolate drink that isn't like our wussy American hot chocolate, but is like drinking a liquified chocolate bar. Good chocolate too. This isn't that though. It's still tasty. I present: turkish coffee.
Kind of a small serving size though, don't you think? And not everyone likes coffee. Let me try this again, surely you can't go wrong with an: ice cream sundae.
Eh.... I'm not really a fan of vanilla icecream, to be honest. Let me try one more time. Something with tons of chocolate... chocolate.. WAIT. I know. How about a: brownie with chocolate ice cream topped with hot fudge and garnished with slivers of dark and white chocolate?
I voted for Mobs and Armor, and I just wanted to clarify that by mobs I meant the villagers who are all very beautiful, but are lacking any male counterparts... Except for the Elf who I'm sure is happy with these conditions.
WOOHOO! (Shout of excitement) I'm not going to argue because I agree with you...but this is purely delectable.
Er, you are going to add them to the pack, right? Even if they're for the texture challenge... You're making me crave for chocolate in real world...
Oh yes, if I post anything on this thread I almost always also upload it to the customizer. The only stuff I don't upload is the stuff I'm still working on.

The villagers do have male counterparts! Mostly. The butcher is still female only.
Do you guys like the drawings, or would you want something different, like objects for the wall? There's a chain for the dungeon pack on the customizer now too, so you can see what I'm talking about.
Erm...will it be possible to mix both? For me the chain looks great but I love the drawings as well...I guess in this case it'll depend on others' opinions, not mine.

I'll be doing both. My to-do list has lots of ideas for objects. I'm just curious to see if people have a strong preference for one over the other.
Wolfhound updated. The customizer is a mess, but I'm meeting someone for dinner and I'll take care of it later. Let me know if you see anything I forgot. Wither is not done yet, a couple GUIs are missing I think, but everything else should be there.

I shall never stop making textures! Never! I just got very, very, very distracted by Borderlands there.
Added some more creepers to the customizer.
