Guys, I am SO excited about the jungle in the snapshot that I've gotten a jumpstart on it. The trees will be ginkgos. They need some work on the tiling... but that can wait until I get done exploring!!

I'm sure we're very easily confused. *nod nod* :wink.gif:
I've uploaded the updated textures. Anyone have any ideas on what to do with the chicken?
A giant turkey leg. Mutton-esk.
...wrapped in bacon... and deep-fried... mmmmmm
... I'm sorry what was the question?
EDIT: Also, awesome items. Oh, and started a jungle world. Love the textures. The bark is incredible, but the vines have a tiny bit of a tiling problem.

The vines are driving me up a wall. I cannot figure out why they won't tile right because I've done everything the same as I do to fix other tiling issues and I've redone them over and over. It's almost like there's an offset hard-coded into the stupid thing. I asked about it to some other texturers and didn't really get a solution so... I'm just going to revisit them when I hit the point where I'm doing texture fixes.
Don't take this the wrong way - it is just my personal opinion at this moment in time.
I've been trying it out, and, if you don't mind my saying so, I'm a little disappointed.
The textures, taken as art, are beautiful. Each one is a work of art. But in several of them repeating patterns are obvious, even at a glance, and the stone, while one of the best textures I have ever seen, doesn't work all that well as a natural material. The nether brick, while I love the runic designs, it makes the tiling extremely obvious. The wood is a little too red, and the normal brick too bright and too high contrast.
Other than that, everything is great.
All in all, however, I'm not sure whether to love or hate the pack. I might have a go at tweaking it a bit, so it's more to my liking.
Once the minecraft texturizer is working, there's going to be some options for the textures you've mentioned. It's just they're rewriting the uploader right now and I can't upload anything yet. I've got non-runic netherbrick waiting in the wings for when it's up. I'll probably go back and redo the regular brick at some point, but not until I get to where everything else is done and I can spend time going back and fixing stuff. The wood is just personal preference, as I like reddish wood. But by all means, tweak the color saturation for your own personal use!
I have mixed feelings about my stone, personally. Some days I like it, other days I hate it. I'll have to make a new one eventually and make that an option. If it comes out well enough I might replace it as the default. Eventually. When I'm done with items and mobs and such.
=)
If the dog could read, she would say thank you for the compliment. And then attempt to lick every inch of exposed skin.
It's for a medieval reenactment group I'm part of. Going to be the prize for a rapier tourney.
I love rapier tourneys. I've been so busy I haven'y been indulging in my fighting arts lately. Also, that is one beautiful painting.
I love to watch rapier fighting, does that count? :wink.gif:

I'm uploading the pack for everyone who wants to play with the snapshot.
Thank you! ^.^

Did you use the MCPatcher?
