Just wanted to share a very basic texture pack that turns all hostile mobs invisible.
v1.0 InvisiMobs 1.0 (Dropbox download)
Makes all Zombies, Skeletons, Spiders (both types), Ghasts, Endermen, Silverfish and Zombie Pigmen invisible. Bows are also invisible (because skeletons carry them). This includes bows in your inventory! v1.1 InvisiMobs 1.1 (Dropbox download)
Also makes golden swords invisible (because pigmen carry them). v1.2 InvisiMobs 1.2 (Dropbox download)
Removes mobs shadows.
Background info
Etho recently did a video where he created a mob arena and went in fighting with his eyes closed. ()
It's a tough challenge and he didn't do very well, mostly because he ended up:
Getting backed into a corner
Clicking in the right direction, but too high or too low to hit the mobs
Accidentally hitting them with his bow instead of his sword because he'd hit the wrong key.
This got me thinking: a better version of this challenge would be if you could see all around you, but all the hostile mobs were invisible.
When I get a chance, I'll be making a video of Etho's map with this pack. I think it makes a fun challenge.
Make ALL mobs invisibile Then go into hardcore AND MAKE DIAMOND TEXTURE STONE. AND IRON INTO GOLD. AND GOLD INTO COAL. AND COAL INTO DIRT AND MAKE LOGS AND LEAVES INVISIBLE AND--

[16x] [1.0.0] Ultimate Hardcore Mode Texture Pack
YOU HAVE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
YES! And @op, post some pictures of the mobs so people know this isn't a virus, OK?
This is actully a pretty cool idea in terms of difficulty when playing survival, I'd guess that you'd need some nice 360 sound quality in order to not be completely overwhelmed. Also, I'd suggest just copying the information from the reddit post to the OP, no point in linking elsewhere just for information about what's in THIS thread.
Absolutely, good quality sound is essential. I think this would definitely add a lot of extra challenge when spelunking. I think creepers will be the biggest issue with this.
You're right about linking to the reddit post, pure laziness. Have updated the top post now.

Curse PremiumNot sure how I can post pictures of invisible mobs :smile.gif:
However, I did snap some invisible zombie pigmen with their not-invisible swords:
This didn't seem ideal, so I've made gold swords invisible in the updated 1.1 version.
Anyway, given that it's a .zip file, you can always check the contents to make sure its not a virus. It's just a bunch of .png files.
