My main annoyance with it is the fatness of the pickaxe (the diamond part in the pic). Pickaxes are supposed to be sharp, not rounded and blunt. This could be to go with the theme of the textures, but I can't really tell from just the one picture.

EDIT: I also just noticed that the grass doesn't seem to tile very well. Having shading on the one side of the texture makes it look unnatural.

It looks alright to me. I have only done the diamond tools though so if it is to fat I don't have to change a whole lot.

You try doing this on a netbook. Minecraft lags so badly. I don't play minecraft on this.
