To anyone who sees this, I am a kid who has a lot of free time on his hand and has been dieing to make a texture pack for minecraft for a while now. Only problem is that I don't have any ideas on where to start. I thought of a Skyrim Pack but there are too many out there already. Please help with ideas for a new original texture pack!

Personally I like texture packs with unique material themes. Some ideas off the top of my head I don't think anybody has done yet:
•Industrial Steel
•Watercolor
•Fractal based texture pack would be cool (even better with the Acid Shader mod?)
•Paper collage theme (like the South Park art style)
•X-processed theme (there may already be a shader that does this though)
•Copper plate engraving theme (this would take a lot of work getting the details!)
•Bible themed texture pack (not sure on the art direction concerning this though)
•Photo "Unrealistic" texture pack
•Hipster themed texture pack
When you decide to make a texture pack, you should already have a theme in mind, and make sure it's one that you like enough to actually devote time to creating textures around it. If it's just someone else's idea, thrown out only to give you something to work on, you'll get tired of it quickly because your heart was never in it to begin with. Don't rush into it. Take your time, gather your thoughts, and decide what you would like to make a texture pack based on.
i would like to see a texture pack thats basicly like minecraft in HD, like there are more pixels in the blocks so it looks better. but it still looks classic for people like me who like classic minecraft and just make the inventory screen more hd
