So... I downloaded this. I'm going to try it out and see if one of my first thoughts comes true or not. That being that it looks, and no offense by this, that the texture pack would eventually be such an eyesore to keep looking at. The nostalgia of it vs the the... I'm not quite sure how to put it. Sharpness? I don't know, but at least with the still pictures it seems as though, if I were to just continue staring at them, they'd stab my eyes.
Not all, mind you, mostly the wood planks and cobblestone. I'm hoping that movement will stop this feeling.
Either way, thank you for at least the heart string tug. Gotta wonder if my original NES still works. Good luck finishing it up and keeping it updated with whatever weird things Jeb may decide he wants to throw into Minecraft (or mod requests for support for em).
Yea, like I said above I plan on doing a few other versions of this pack. The EGA version will most likely be next and it will most likely use this palette. Something slightly less eye burny hopefully.

Oh, yea, that's definitely a much better palette. Movement does help resist the eye stabbiness. Man, makes me wonder how we played things like Castlevania as kids.

Ha, yea. If you have the time you should look up swords of aragon. The graphics in the game were terrible but it is one of the best strategy games ever made. Hopefully, once I learn C# a tad better, I will buy the rights to that game and reproduce it.

YAY! I wonder why the pics aren't working.
Ha! Yea I get that a lot. I plan on getting around to a "EGA" version that will have a less contrasted color palette.
YAY! Me too!
