I don't think of 7 because it's edited block of metal with some brighten lines, and metal is solid, when block that made of dust must have 'compressed' look, and, sorry Azon_PL, but it's don't look as it, either i can say about block number 2 and my blocks 5 and 6, i made them with that glow in top right corner to give classy, varnished look.
Does anyone have a "map" of the terrain.png file? For example: Each square on it, isn't a texture, but blocked out with text telling you what belongs in that spot?
If not, I can make one up for people, but I don't know where these new redstone block and quartz ore will go?
It should be useful then, for people who grab from the topic posts instead of the major download pages. It'll tell 'em where on the file to place what they want.
Apachey: I think Azon means adding the border from the chest, which is something that a good number of people have been doing when we've been trying to create blocks (ie: Enchanting table). Though you already did have a full sized texture, I think he was referring to the use of the border itself, and not saying you skimped on the work to get it done.
Azon: I'm assuming Apachey meant the beveled edge.
Either or, don't get too worked up about each other's opinions, we've still got a lot to work on yet and I'd hate to see a rift form between two of our biggest contributors.

I was thinking about the image vault today, and i see that a lot of blocks have quite a few alts for them, so i was thinking about re-arranging the "blocks" and "items" sub folders of the textures folder. But before i do i just wanted to give an example to see what people would think of it. What i was thinking is have each block have its own sub folder, with the name of the folder, the proper name for the texture within (such as a folder named "block_redstone") this would help keep down clutter and seem easier to find what you need, and it will be ready for when the textures are a separated from the items and terrain.pngs
>textures>blocks>block_redstone>"the texture that your looking for"

That's actually a very good idea. Don't know why I didn't think of it >.> That will make this a lot easier to find the specific item/block now and for 1.5.
I just realized, we're all thinking about "Compacted Dust" and my brain finally went to the most obvious real life example of "Compacted Dust": Make-up!
Wow, I guess I'm a fail female. LOL (And yet... I feel proud of this...)
Just wanted to let you guys know this texture pack is amazing. I noticed on the Baked Potato, when in hand, had a couple of pink pixels that seem out of place. You can only see the one by your hand when you move the mouse up and down. There is one that is visible on the front.
I am doing this mountain house build and I do not think I could ever go back to default after seeing this pack. Great job. If you want to see the build please watch my latest video posted below the pick of the Baked Potato.

Texture artists... PLEASE DO NOT TURN YOUR OPACITY BELOW 100%! Minecraft does not render opacity from textures and will render it as a solid!
Rustic Redemption you are doing a great job. I hope you are not putting out a new update for such a small fix. I just wanted to let you know so it could go out in the next one.
Thanks!!! I've been finding it easier to just plop in new textures when we get them, rather than waste bandwidth on our download / vault sites (and have to re-edit again afterward anyway).
Back on the quartz topic:
I noticed a lot of quartz ore blocks have the crystal look to them. Do we want to be accurate and have the crystals look like how crystals normally form? (Like a Geode, the crystal needs to form in a hollow or empty space), or do we want them to look like the solid chunk that I linked above? (Where there is not hollow pocket to form crystals in.)
It's just a minute random thought I had since I've always loved quartz.
Do we know, yet, where the Quarts Ore and Quartz block textures will go on the terrain.png? (Sorry for pestering, I'm just trying to prep for my update)

Hey you can get the snapshot already guys with the new quartz. Also I can't wait to see what the solar device is gonna look like with this texture pack!
You can find the snapshot info here in case someone doesn't know. http://mojang.com/
Plus, aren't they planning on HD texture support where all textures will have their own image file instead of all being crammed into a single texture sheet?
They may end up doing this before they implement the quartz so it wouldn't matter in that case anyway.
Good point, though I'll miss the full sheet. It gives us a good "over all" look at the art, to really see if everything goes well together.

Looks the most like compacted redstone dust.

Great job.
It's quartz. They wanted to have it "Marble looking" but since there is no limestone in Minecraft, it's just milky looking quartz.

Besides, Quartz often has a milky look anyway:
On an unrelated note: Does anyone know where the redstone block is to be placed on the terrain.png file?
