So with 1.2.4, we have new wooden planks, whose color depends on the type of tree they come from. Anyone plan on re-coloring the wood to fit with the three new plank styles?Just realized izbass made a reply about this already. Shouldn't be TOO hard to do, even though I'm not a Gimp expert..

I'm not having this issue. Although I'm not a big fan of optifine, so try using mcpatcher and go to options and check all boxes, then pactch. Sometimes optifine hates me.
Can't be optifine I use it and never have that problem. sounds like configured error to me.
The question is, should we make the pine planks even darker and keep the default (oak) planks or should we make the default planks as the pine planks and make the default planks brighter? (because ovos default planks looks even dark)
Well, I say keep what Ovo made what Ovo made. Those planks are the original. Lets say we make the Pine planks a reddish hue, and give the jungle planks sorta a battered, or just bruised up feel?

Why would we give them reddish hue? :< That's kinda unrealistic, isn't it? I'm no tree expert.

I used to chop wood with my dad to heat the house. Actually Oak can get red, pine is a much lighter color on the inside (wierd right) but that's down where I live(texas) but yes trees can be red (hence redwood trees :3)
I say we keep the default planks as they are and base the colors after it. If I made a texture pack from scratch, that's how I would do it. We can also look towards JohnSmith's pack as that is were Ovocean got his inspiration from.
The font is messed up for 1.2.4. I used this pack's Font with the Regular Minecraft Texture Pack. Is this fixable, since Ovo made the font?
-snip-
Make sure you are using a mod that enables HD Font. The size of the default texture vs the HD Font are different. If you don't patch your Minecraft with MCPatcher or OptiFine, you get those results.

It's reddish in the default texture. Might as well go with the flow? I personally try to go with things that use the same effect of Vanilla so that in SMP, other people's structures don't look weird if they are using the default.

As soon as the Customizer is updated to 1.2.4, the new planks from azon_pl will be updated.
They look like someone put really thin wax paper over the top of them.
Are you talking to me? If so, I totally agree. Perhaps someone can play with it a little. Or maybe just go with Azon's wood plank textures.
EDIT: Here's an updated version for my bump-mapping. http://www.mediafire.com/?4qiju9kzpg4kj1h
If you don't likt the textures I use, go into the terrain_nh.png and erase the blok you don't want to have bump mapping or if it's not the same texture as the ones you use. Just by looking in the terrain_nh.png, I'm pretty sure you'll figure that bump mapping is easy. There is a way to make it look better, but that, I've got no clue.
Yes, but when I worked on, the other person post another one, so I stop working on my version.
1.2.4 blocks:
Sandstone blocks should be better but I don't have time today.
Nice job. I also have an alternate for either the reg planks, or like pine or something. I will be posting it this afternoon, and I think it looks ok... could be better, but you did a wonderful job on those planks, and the hieroglyphs could use some... improvement. =)
=) yea

That's fixable by using the OptiFine mod or patching your game with MC Patcher.
I am using optifine but I need to wait for it to update. I'll be using the default for now.
You can also use MCPatcher in the meantime.
If you read the previous page... You'll learn!

Maybe a bit more contrast to the holes and the edges of the birch and jungle planks.

This a little better?
Or this might be a little better?
