Me and one or two other texturers had a bowl being worked on, and I added the mushroom stew, but I suck with aqua textures... so I used an overlay from your soup if that's ok, for the alternate bowl.
Also couldn't help but add the texture to my milk bucket I made from fpk35's bucket, renamed the file so it has appropriate creditz
Glad to know I don't need to work on the leaves anymore with those amazing ones. I couldn't do anyhing near good enough to those
Awww...
The thing is, that even if you don't come up with the final texture, you may have some brilliant idea or concept that sparks something in another contributor (which hopefully they would credit you for).
Alright, so even though my desktop is down, I can't just sit and watch while you guys are finishing up these textures. It'll probably be long periods of time before I can really get something up just because its hard to see things on this tiny screen, but I will do my best. I really just want to work on animating some block textures, because its fun and adds something more to the pack. Some people may not like it, but I think some things might be cool. Like an idea I got this morning was to take the Jack-o-lantern block, and have the inside kinda flicker, like there's an actual candle in there. So hopefully I'll be able to get some of these going since I'm not the best at creating new textures from scratch, although I will continue to try to do some texture blocks/items. (Sadly i'm going to have to start the enchanting table one from scratch since I lost it :l)
Edit: Just realized, I won't have to start that over. I shared my version of the pack with close friends (mostly my edits and I have given credit to the certain people from whom some of the blocks come from) and my animated enchanting table was in there! wooo! (still not 100% complete. finishing up the shine)
If ANY of you have ideas on maybe some blocks/items you'd like to see animated, just tell me which block and any ideas you have on what it should do.

Nice! I would say the burning furnace being animated would add a nice touch. Or give some kind of pulse/flicker of the light coming from the jack o' lantern. Spin the disc on the jukebox?
Animate the "sparkles" on the redstone dust icon maybe? I would suggest to have the Eye of the Ender do some kind of glowing thing or the Enderpearl doing a little bopping up and down or a semi fade in and fade out like it wants to teleport, but we have to agree on which as the default first IMO. Same with the buckets - as I was thinking making liquids swirl or something of that sort. Ooooo.... animate the map icon by combining the variants?
Edit: I didn't see you mention about the jack o' lantern lol...

Challenge accepted.. I will now try to make an animated image of water and lava buckets (probably milk too, and just bc, the soup bowl) for my own items I helped with
I'm new here, I've been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.2..
I really love this texture pack, and decided I'd get in on it. An item(s) in the items.png that I feel should be finished are the fish. I'll be working, on sorta a rainbow trout texture.
Maybe we could use this as inspiration? Tell me what you guys think.
I've been having problems uploading my texture I made. In Gimp, i finished the Raw fish texture in the items.png, and want to upload it, but really don't know how to separate the raw fish texture from everything else and post it as a stand alone texture. Could one of you experienced artists help? If it helps, I use Windows Vista.(Blehh)

I set up a grid in Gimp when using the item.png. You can set the size by going Edit>Preferences>Grid Options and set it to 64x64 pixels. Once you do that go to view and turn on the grid, highlight the fish and paste it into a new page.
Alright, but what do I copy it with after I highlight it? I highlighted it , clicked on Edit>Copy Visible, and tried pasting it onto this page but it didn't work. Neither will it work if I paste it onto my desktop...

make a new page, then press paste after the file has been copied. Then press crop to selection, and then save as whatever.
Sorry for all the questions guys. Anyways, heres my Rainbow Trout! (Raw fish)
Hope you all like it!
with gimp, select the area, ctrl+c is copy; ctrl+v is paste... but ctrl+shift+v is paste in new window, it will make a 64x transparent square with the fish in it. works nicely.
and i have made a alternative language button
-snip-
I do like the chunks in the stew.
I just realized, somehow i was editing the wrong buckets???? I'm now confuzed...
Anyway I remember I added the drip for that alt of buckets due t orequest (fixed whiteness now)
And here are MY actual buckets (fpk35's default) uploaded and fixed.

Hahah I do like your ideas, I do. Some of them I had myself (like the Jack o' lantern hahah) But the spinning music disk I never thought of! That would be a really nice touch to add. And as for the buckets, I almost wanted to see if I could make them kinda "slosh" around and splash up, but that would look funny standing still lol. As for the lava I wanted to make it "bubble and pop" like it does when you place it. But I'll let Rhonde work on those since they accepted that challenge, and I'll look into the pumpkin/music box for now, since we really don't have alts of those (that I know of) and therefore we know which ones we all use.
Also, I'm taking Pythro's "flask" (potion bottle) and editing it so the outline isn't so prominent (lightening it so it blends better) And I'm trying to figure out how to do a splash version. Whoever suggested the glass bottle thing for it, I think he mentioned the spherical look, throwing a glass ball to shatter. What I was thinking, was taking Pythro's flask, taking out the "neck" so its just a glass ball with a rubber stopper in it, and maybe something else so you know its a splash potion. Any other thoughts?

I think it was gl0u0m that suggested it. For the splash version, I thought yesterday about adding a lit fuse to the glass much like a molotov cocktail.

In a collaborative effort, all ideas are welcome

The lava bucket looks like it has ketchup in it.

I used an overlay.. didn't notice it's grayness in the editor :|
