I would share mine but, I have to admit I'm using a mix up pack of Ovo's, Misa's, LB's and my own textures right now...slowly (very slowly) making my own pack, see. ^^;;
I'm not sure what people will think of yet another realistic pack if I ever get it done... but hey.
Normally I use a slightly modified version of Misa's nether wart as a placeholder; I replaced it with the default nether wart for distribution purposes because it isn't one of our textures. Beyond that, I use Dokucraft's sun and moon, clouds from LB photorealism, armor from Misa's pack... and probably more that I can't even remember. Items.png is surprisingly pure ORR/default, but it wasn't always that way.
Yeah, pretty much. Even without the customizer, it's pretty easy to do by hand... a lot of people just aren't willing to get their hands dirty with that sort of thing. :wink.gif:
creeperfighter3, I'm NOT trying to discourage, on the contrary... but your style really doesn't seem to have a rustic feel at all. It makes me think of sort of, softer cartoon-like graphics from what I've seen. Have you considered maybe making your own texture pack? Right now it might be better to practice by doing just that, and it may very well look awesome putting your own textures together in one place.
i actually am making my own texture. i just feel that some people here are just doing textures someone else already did for ovo's rustic and that some other's need to do a little bit more variety.
And yes, you're right, i did think it was a little off for the feel of this texture. i should probably let the good guys take care of this. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/954161-leons-default-crazy-texture/
You have to admit that many people don't want to do that kinda stuff because it's just more than their knowledge of handling computers (switch it on, start the software needed, shutdown) . I understand, despite the fact of many people playing this game, many of them are just casual users that are happy if they learnt how to change the textures. So I wouldn't generally say many people don't wanna get their hands dirty... many are just afraid they'd do something wrong or it's too complicated. Remeber that not only geeks are playing this game.
i.e. I tried for two weeks now to contribute to that texture pack, but my skills just suck, that doesn't mean I don't wanna help. ;-P I just simply suck. :-D
Yeah, I'd imagine that's a big part of it as well... but ironically, I figured suggesting that copying and pasting part of an image into another image was beyond the understanding of many users in the same breath as the "don't want to get their hands dirty" remark might be taken as somewhat impolite toward members of both parties, for different reasons. I hadn't meant to imply that all who were waiting for the customizer version were simply too lazy to do it by hand; it's just that I didn't quite feel the same aversion toward poking fun at the "too much work, do it for me" crowd. Still, I see my error, and apologize for any unintended implications my earlier post might have had.
Hey guys, I just made a new GUI - the Creative Mode Item Selection. I have also updated my Inventory GUI to look a little nicer. :smile.gif:
Creative Mode:
Inventory:
And yes I am aware that the Creative Mode Item Selection GUI has a small, missing strand of pixels, however, you cannot see a difference In - Game. Plus, I just can't be bothered to fix it right now. :biggrin.gif:
Also, can someone please tell me how to post spoilers? I'm new and I would like to know for future use please.
Gl0u0m, i think your blaze powder looks best for gunpowder. just my opinion.
Yeah, maybe. I was going for something to match the blaze/blaze rod/brewing stand's look, but now that I think about it maybe the blaze powder ought to be even a little bit fiery-looking, if for no other reason than to help distinguish it from gunpowder more easily. Frankly, I'm not so sure I like the texture at all... it's kind of small, and the smoke is maybe a little odd. I might redo it at some point, and make a new texture altogether for gunpowder.
EDIT: Great work on the GUIs, Pinkie.

Thanks! I'm planning on making 1 every other day until I'm done with all of them. That should keep me busy. =)
I decided to add the items from the main post into the items.png.
Also, since the clay brick is pretty much a reskin of iron and gold bars in the default textures, I decided to do this for clay bricks until someone comes up with something better (credit to the guy who made the bars, I just recolored it in Photoshop).

for the blaze powder, maybe you could get some sort of yellow powder and add some orange shadings.

I have been trying to avoid this sort of of thing, just because I don't want there to be any "Best textures" yes some may be clearly the best, but I think that it would be best if you decide personally. That's one of the reasons why I am really anxious to get everything onto Minecraft customiser.
Please don't take this the wrong way, I was just stating my opinion on things like this :smile.gif:
Awesome clay brick recolour btw, I'll add it when I'm feeling smart enough to edit the vault code again xD(Its really messy in there)

I understand. I just did it so people who were too lazy to do it themselves, or do not know how, could have some of the item textures until it is distributed normally. If you want it deleted, I can go ahead and do so.

No no, you have a point. keep it around :tongue.gif:

so you just paste those into the terrain png?

Because it's supposed to be covered in snow.

And also, is someone doing the mob egg spawners?

The wood isn't bad, but to be honest the stone one looks a bit like an egg carton. Pinky's version feels closer to the style of Ovo's GUI.
As new leaves I use the old v0.9 leaves which are in the alternatives folder of the pack :wink.gif:
