I think the other terrain looks great in their original theme when using this with brighter green-nature-terrain.

I'm sorry you don't like the brighter version, but it would too much hassle to maintain two versions of each texture. Give it more time, and if you really can't get used to it, you can get some comfort knowing that I feel much better with the brighter version, which encourages me to do more textures.
Wait, are you using the pack from planetminecraft or the zip I uploaded on this thread? The latter has much brighter grass relative to the rest.
@Serrinatta: Good choice with the salmon. It looks good except that the light comes from the bottom, it lacks a bit of highlight on top.
i really like the idea of the brightening, it looks nice. The problem I have is that now every other texture is dark in comparison. did you brighten them all by a certain uniform amount? if so, id gladly change the brightness levels of all my favourite textures myself
Yes, but it's a non-linear curve. Use this file with Gimp, in the Colors menu > Curves, then right to the Preselection drop-down menu, the little arrow lets you import my curve from the file.
But know that I have applied it to all the alts in the updated customizer (except wool for now), so you should wait to see if your textures are in it.
But it's true I'm lacking the reflective shine (it's a good thing their picture has a light from the top too!) I"ll keep working on it!

Do whatever pleases you Pinky. But if you want my opinion, the UI is ok to me for now, I think it's been completed by loardvader, no? The armors is something I'm pushing back by lack of personal interest so if you want to try that, you'll make many happy people.

In fact I couldn't, the plugin that allows this (Gimp Animation Package) is broken. But you can do it pretty quickly by the hand: set up a keyboard shortcut for the curves window, call it then down arrow to select the last curve used, then shortcut to validate, down arrow to move on to the next layer, and so on...
Flameball, I added that version of the cake (after brightening it up) to the upcoming customizer update.

I was as the regular download wasn't working for me. I'll get the GUI's uploaded and try again later tonight (9:30am for me right now!) when I get out of work.
Kid, take the time to actually look through the topic. Its really a waste of time posting stuff like that here, and the pack is clearly a WIP, so don't expect much yet.
Is there a version of stone already made that is lighter and smoother somewhere in here? If not could someone make one? I'd try myself but it would end up looking wretchedly terrible.
OutrageousMac, Hand-made tiling is done that way in Gimp :
- Offset the layer by choosing 'Layer > Transforms > Offset' or press Ctrl+Shift+O. Offset by x/2 and y/2.
- Use clone and other tools to erase the visible seam.
- Offset again to get the image back to normal.
