Yep. It is really easy. There is another way to do it that creates a dynamic light changeing( which is used in the baela texture pack,) that can make bump mapping look cooler and have some sort of a depth feel. I don't know how to do that, and I'll probably find out some day, but in the mean time, I'm just doin what I'm doing.

Hey guys, Psychotic has allowed me to help out with Minecraft Customizer. I'm going to try to get it updated for 1.2 in the next couple of days. Can't guarantee as I am getting my server setup for a temp map while I edit our two worlds offline =/. Then I'm going to go through and try to credit each texture by its artist to the best of my ability as I just went through this entire thread all over again. I know there were some created on Ovocean's original thread, but that is going to take some time xD

Rhonde - I noticed you posted some armor earlier on? However, I guess it was removed from tinypic. Mind reposting?

Yeah I'll re-post, I'll also start trying to make it 64x, it's only 16 currently.




Edit: watcha think? ditched the chainmail for "silver" armor. Also fixed a few "transparent" patches that wouldn't show up in game anyway, and some odd coloring on the gold and diamond armors. Added in the textures for wearing it.




Edit: I had to change the second picture 3 times. first I forgot the texture images, then i forgot: the texture images were still 16x...

I'm asking you - since although I have PM'd OVO, I've not had a reply (yet - maybe he doesn't visit here that often nowadays), but I was wondering.......

... Do you know if it's all right for us to use graphics from OVO's original pack, modify them & then use them in other packs (or MODs) without needing his permission ??

I know many texture designers don't like other people copying graphics & putting them into their own pack - especially without permission but I'm asking this because I've used one of his Graphics (the furnace) - modified it & been using it in some1 else's MOD as a replacement [64x] alternative graphic, however I'd like to submit this new graphic to the developer of the MOD

FYI - my modified version of OVO's furnace looks likeAny help is appreciated

The customizer has been updated to 1.2 objects.

I also reorganized the textures so that all Ovocean's originals are defaulted.

I'll add more items from the thread later.

Ah right - had another look in his original thread
- Don't know HOW I missed that link to '- Libre! (licence)', perhaps I was looking for 'copyright', 'permission' or something like that

So I'm good to go then, as long as I say it's based on his original graphic & I show the same 'licence' (i.e. a link)

Just wanted to point out the jungle leaf is by me and, to others, I really have been procrastinating on working on it :/ Guess I better work on it now since I went ahead and mentioned it...

I always envisioned a round flask (like this style: http://2.imimg.com/d...348-250x250.jpg but quite a bit dustier/more rustic-looking) with a cork, and wrapped in twine for easy carrying... splash variant would have had no cork/opening (just a round glass ball, meant to be thrown and shatter on impact.) I might still attempt this myself, but at the moment I've got a couple of non-minecraft-related projects keeping me busy, so you are free to give it a try in the meantime.

He was the first to critique that texture, but I am the sole maker of it. Sorry to bother you with such a silly matter, but it's the only texture I have tried.

If you look again, I posted the image with a link and he replies saying that I should make the leaves rounder and lighten it up. Once again very sorry to bother you and you don't have to change it until the next batch you throw in.

Ahh, ok...

Holy crap! I was updating my files manually, going through the pages... OH MY GOD there's a lot of textures that have somehow either been missed by the customizer, or by me. The end portal and end stone section, ghast tears, cookies, some dyes, the spawner egg, sugar cane, clock and compass (why i looked back anyway, btw i give up i cant out do that) alt. blaze rods, some shears (i like the knife thing there) added in those melons, but I'd recommend making the glistering melon's rine a little more yellow, like default, as though it's a little extra ripened by time. Fishing poles, jungle logs and leaves, and I haven't even finished going through it.

Edit: my terrain and items PNG files, showing off a lot of work some people have done, and some that may have been missed.

I think, before we start any new mod-supporting textures, we should work on the mobs.. I would do them myself, but as I have stated, I'm horrible with mobs. Is anyone here good with mobs? I'll try my hand at the sheep-fur, but that's about all I think I could do.. if at all.

You have missed a lot of updates, like Rhonde said. But I am happy it's updated for 1.2 finally.
