Yea, i've got money on b'day and i'm think should i buy Minecraft or spend on something more important (still, it's not that necessary)

I thought of that crystals, they're underwater, they're mystic, and they're emits light... They couldn't be simple

Probably just because they aren't flat
But they are really cool.

So now i'm the only one who making textures here?

Apachey has been making some awesome textures lately. I wish I could help but I haven't done an art for a long time (and I failed art!) I'm just better at tech things. If you did the new textures I'm sure they would look awesome too, but if you don't have time or inspiration yet then we'll understand. Maybe Serrinata would make a cute bunny texture.



Question - Which textures are still missing from the official pack? As in, which textures were borrowed from other sources etc. Water? Lava? Clouds?

You think you're failed because you think that way, or because someone said that it's fail?
I've got a lot of time now, but not inspiration, yeah. So i'll just let it appear and maybe i'll make new textures. But for now, i'm waiting.

Lava and clouds... But i didn't remember what the deal with water.

This is kind of related. I made a Hogwarts map and made the pack as the suggested resource pack

Ok I (finally) managed to get another program to do normal mapping:

I could do the Guardians IF anyone reeeealy wants them (otherwise I won't bother with mobs).

This should be about all that's needed to complete my "Ultra" pack for 1.8, once we have bunnies and new item textures.

This must be the first time that Ovo's has been ahead of the release schedule, good job!

wow, i don't know that mobs can have map too.
let's leave it for next updates (technical updates, not texture)

Yep, mobs and other entities (even item frames etc.) can have normal/specular mapping, but it's hard to see the difference and not really worth the effort and performance loss. I think I'll put a note in my next version of the Ultra pack that people should delete extra files that they don't really want, because each extra file makes a small loss of performance. I only use about half of the normal maps usually.
