Are there any bump-mapped textures for Ovo's Rustic? I had a look through the vault but couldn't see anything.
I remember seeing Ovo's with bump-mapping in a previous version (maybe 1.4?), although it might have been generated by the shaders mod at the time. Anyone got any info/textures/links?

I made some back for the pack for 1.4/1.5 i think, but then the texture format changed to the new single file system, and i have no idea if i would need top do it for each image seperatly. Al-tho if you find out and find out how to do it (?cause i forgot) you can make the images, as i recall all it was, was a conversion/effect in gimp/Photoshop.

Aw, I gave it a test with cobble:
...but it just failed.
In-game the cobble looks flat like it normally does, I even checked another bump/normal map resource pack to make sure the mod is setup ok (and it was). I used "Crazybump" to make this one.
I don't know what's wrong with it, it looks about right to me (although I think I may have got the bumps indented by mistake). Any ideas?

that looks about right, but maybe it is the mode, or the textures location in the zip? idk. It could also be that the mod is incompatible with your video card (i had that problem on a laptop once.

No I definitely got the mod working, I can see bump maps on other RP's, and I located the file in the blocks folder with the name cobblestone_n.png so that should all be ok. Must be something to do with how I'm using Crazybump, was for 1.6.4 shaders and it seemed pretty simple in that, unless 1.7 has a different method for bump/normal maps?
I'll give it another shot on the weekend, I would really like to contribute something!

Would very much like to see bump mapping working with this pack again. Specially since this used to be the de facto pack for SEUS. Looked just amazing with it back in 1.4.
Also custom 3D Models when 1.8 comes out would be great.
EDIT: Found a version of this pack with Parallax Mapping for 1.6, perhaps it's possible to adapt it for 1.7.
EDIT2: Successfully adapted to 1.7. Works perfectly with Sildur's Vibrant Shaders. SEUS POM support in 10.1 seems broken though.
I have done one leg of the bed in 3d. Do you want the models to be x64 resolution like the textures or should I do a lower resolution because it might cause some lag at the higher resolution.

should not be too bad. I have course work in for tommorow so I will do some after. Currently the maximum resolution is x32 for the models but he plans to make it user defined at a later date. (could you please quote my response to reply because I get an email if you do which makes it easier to tell I have a response)
Ladder model? cubik dosent really work fully with 64x textures but i tried
EDIT:elWhile this program works quite well, it needs a little fixin to work with our pack, that and MC is quite buggy when it comes to models, so I'm going to wait a bit to keep trying, to see if the fix the crashes.
I have done one of the iron bars. The program needs some work before it can be used properly as I needed to edit some of the file to make it properly fit the textures

Eureka! Turns out that the bump maps were conflicting with the CTM files/folder (I'll try to solve this later).
And lo, I come bearing gifts! http://www.mediafire.com/download/jdaf276b1wghwqg/Ovos_n_Schlutt.zip
I bump'd the textures which were missing from the other pack (see link below) and a couple of double-up's I thought I might have done a little better (you decide!). Could these be added to the vault under "bumpmap" or "normalmap" or mods/whatever please?

I never cared much about bump maps before, but they look SO damn good in SEUS 10.1 pre2 it's insane. Also most texture's that are not bump'd look like shiny plastic in 10.1 pre2 when it rains, so you really want some bump if you're using SEUS now.
So consider this my contrbution!
(and please feel free to yell at me for any mistakes I made, I can take it!)

The hard part will be modelling non cubic items, such as cobble.
Good news for bump/normal mapping then!
I had a brief chat with Apachey on Reddit yesterday (yes, he is still alive!) and promised some normal maps for the ctm files. The ctm files are an absolute mess and it will take me some time to even get a lot of them working (I figured out the cobble/mossy but haven't bump'd them yet), but I managed to get all the planks working today:
Yes there are some minor tiling issues, but they are hard to see.

Well it took all day, but now I present to you...
Ovo's Rustic CTM with normal-map!
(it's hard to get a decent screenshot, you need to see it in-game)
CTM pack: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k1436ggg61gbou2/Ovos_ctm_normalmap_Schlutt.zip
Just place it in your pack's assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/ctm folder, works great with SEUS 10.1 pre2 (pictured) or Sildur's/Chocapic etc. with NormalMap enabled in shaders mod. The un-map'd CTM textures included (many more textures) will also work without shaders.
Textures normal-map'd:
Bricks, coal ore, cobblestone/mossy, dirt, farmlands, grass, leaves, melon, reeds, stone, stone bricks cracked/mossy, trees/tops, vines, waterlily, planks...
Also included, but with some issues: Bookshelf/top (ctm seems to derp a little), sand (some textures are brighter), creeper stone (I can't get ctm to work with it), stone slab/side (ctm derps a little), crafting table (top works great, but I can NOT figure out how to get ctm working on the sides). Help with these issues would be appreciated!
Please test, give feedback, and request anything extra you would like included/improved.

What version of Minecraft are you running with the normal map? SEUS 10.2 Preview gives me some weird artifacts with normal maps enabled in 1.7, I hear it works just fine in 1.6 though. If you're running in 1.7, could you please post a link to your copy of SEUS?

EDIT: also found this, it looks like some one used out TP to make the bump mapping toutorial lol http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1671950-the-designers-guide-to-bump-mapping-quick-fix-for-16/

Awesome, thanks!
Loardvader this pack is full of normals & specular: http://www.mediafire.com/download/dox95x1oo87i90h/%5B1.6.2%5D+Ovos+Rustic+Redemption+x64+v1.0.2+POM.zip If you would be able to vault 'em too that would be great.
