On a side note: I"m going to redo the nose. I darkened it to look like the grey horse, but forgot that it's supposed to be the base for all horses. @[email protected]

It's good to see that people would like to help, i remember when there is wasn't skeleton texture, so i decided to draw it and post here. I don't had even idea that people would love it
So just post your textures and we'll help you finish them.
2dDon, yeah, you can begin work with Metallurgy mod support
Disperdo:
Glad I could help! It certainly saved my butt once I found out how to do it too.
Also, I do like your cleaner style of the GUI (as I too am not a bug fan of the standard set for GUI so I use one of the older versions). It's nice and clean without losing much on the 'rustic' side. Is there any chance that GUI comes in ORR smooth stone texture?
Apachey:
Ahh yes, I remember that day you came in and wowed everyone (Including myself) with your skeleton!
I'm curious, what magic do you have up your sleeve?
Or are you asking about Magic the card game?
Schlutt:
You know, I'm not sure. It could be that they have been all this time, and that using a shader mod emphasizes something that was subtle enough to be overlooked?

Seems like I've done something wrong... were the leaves always this grid-like (or whatever the term is) - -snip- Are there maybe some alt's that blend together a little better, or is it just that I have some settings wrong? I have CTM turned on in Optifine. Apachey what's this magic you speak of...
Magic? If I don't know what it is, it's probably some mod... Here's parts of the GUI i designed from scratch. I like it sleak and simple and more or less "stole" the idea from Misa's 'stone'-like interface. *blush* (sorry, not much a fan of the current Ovo GUI) However I created it from scratch - first time I ever used layer masks, it's quite neat, though complicated. Currently I am stuck with creating my own sort of icons. What I use at the moment are Free CreativeCommons Photoshop shapes to compensate for my lack of artistic skill. Any thoughts? -snip- yes, the air bubble in the icon.png is still missing, as I can't figure out how to do that yet, but all others are new; same thing for the lapis lazuli stone in the enchanting table, that's more or less a placeholder until I find a way to make that look nice too, maybe some sort of socket hole or something)
oh, sorry, but this GUI's is too much out of place, imho. It's good, but not for our resource pack.
here is some tips:
1.use already done ORR textures as templates\backgrounds\elements, make new from scratch or (if you're sure, that you can made it look like other textures) redone some textures from internet
2.don't use layer styles! (almost anyone could recognize them, until they look very natural)
3.don't forget about Ovo's rules
Apachey: Ahh yes, I remember that day you came in and wowed everyone (Including myself) with your skeleton! I'm curious, what magic do you have up your sleeve? Or are you asking about Magic the card game?
wowed? Oh, thanks
i used stone half slab and whitened it
That's alright, but to be honest, I never considered my GUI as a replacement for the ORR pack. I just don't like the ORR GUI and decided I can use that to learn a bit of photoshop and swap the GUI in the end on my PC without having to beg for someone changing it to my taste, whilst others really like what you've got already. Everyone's got their own taste. I just posted it here because you guys have been helpful and I thought you might wanna critizise a bit, that's all. I'll still use it on my PC, if you like it or not. Besides, nothing wrong with considering putting it in the vault, there are obviously people that would like another GUI alternative. But if you don't want it, I don't mind offering it someone else who does.
Apart from that, I just found the GUI easier to create than a whole new texture for those new stone blocks. As you said, I have the issue that some of the versions I tried look too obviously... erm... "wrong"? (and no i didn't use any layer styles for that, just for the GUI). And at least someone liked the GUI, which is not a bad thing for a beginner... *patting my own shoulder*
If I don't learn, I'll never be of any help in the future. And you're already behind with some stuff, here and there icons missing etc... just saying. Which also means... that at some stage one should actually put supporting mods on hold until the RP is actually complete and THEN start supporting additional mods. But then again, that's not my decision... just saying.
You keep on referring to Ovo's rules... but I am sure he wouldn't have liked half a supported RP with bits and pieces here and there because supporting mods was apparently more important than finalising the RP with missing texture (ie items, entities) and the RP is basically all over the place but incomplete.
Which also makes me wonder... have you fixed that shadow on the white stone you made for 1.8?
Oh, i didn't knew that.
Yea, i know that you used layer styles only for icons, but still.
Also, you passively angry. I can see it.
Sorry me for being straight. I'm not hypocrite.
There is no missing icons.
Ovo personally said that he liked some textures of our (including mine ones).
Only flowers and horses isn't done.
I am not passive angry (isn't that called passive aggressive?), I just found it hilarious how a simple question as "you like?" come to "not good enough for this resourcepack - which I didn't mention with one word. I more or less took the p*** ... sorry, if that sounded passive aggressive to you.
I appreciate that you are the guardian of the ORR and Ovo's original values... I only took the p*** because I found it hilarious as you seem to take it quite... literally... as a replacement and it sounded like a headteacher telling me off for a simple question as "do you like it? is it good enoug?" and you straight away related to Ovo's values even though I didn't even remotely mention that I want this as a replacement - and if, just for me.
Keep a long story short: I only asked, how you guys liked it and basically checking if I made any progress in "creating" things rather than just using .png and manipulate the odd color or hue.
Having said that... How do you make your stone textures if you don't use any layer styles or anything? Does that mean, you manipulate the raw image? Once you want to change something, don't you have to re-do the whole thing again to fix it? That sounds like more work. The reason I am asking... if you don't use layer styles, how did you get that shadow in your stone texture? *confused*
PS: sorry, I didn't realise this forum blocks the peepee word... so I had to change it to p*** hahahaha can't even use a common english expression.
yea, "p***" looks funny
i took raw image and placed that layer over the smooth stone texture, changed colors\ add shadow\lights, make it tile (is it right way to say it?), but something went wrong, so i forgot about that shadow thingy
Ok I must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. Even without the shadersmod the leaves are just as grid-like, I removed the leaves ctm folder but it still looks just as bad. Only seems to look this bad with oak and birch leaves, jungle leaves are not quite so bad, and the others are all fine. Suggestions? Anyone got screenshots of how they're supposed to look?

That effect is called somehow, don't remember exactly how, anyways: as far as you notice it, it's cannot be unseen. You just didn't noticed it before
Like the old redstone block. What has been seen, cannot be unseen. O.o()
Well damn!
Maybe I'll just swap out the oak/birch with the.... dark oak or something. That should work, right? The colours aren't saved in the leaves png so it should look ok.
Cannot unsee....

It's quite interesting, because there are quite a few of these textures around, without people realising (not only talking about ORRs textures now, more generally in all RPs). I had quite a few that annoyed me because of that.
I didn't even realise the Cobblestone in the ORR had a black line on each side until someone mentioned it and now I see it all the time and it annoys me. LOL Amazing how you can trick someone into seeing things.
Yeah, i saw once dark vertical line on dirt (in vanilla) and now it annoys me
Does anyone have bumpmapping textures for this? I'm dying to get my hands on them again, this texture pack with bumpmapping is by far the most amazing thing ever.
When I tried to download the 1.6.4 it said there was a "502 error" and that the website is no longer available or, is having technical difficulties. Please help me out I really like this texture pack!
So just post your textures and we'll help you finish them.

always forgetting!
it's in progress and i thought about other icons, since that things usually called 'items'. Icons stands for GUI elements
