Schlutt, sorry, I have no idea how CTMs work, I only used the planks that were there and just modified them. I haven't even seen the CTM files yet as I am not really using MCPatcher (or any other mod for that matter). So I guess someone else would have to help you out with that.
Wow, the image vault actually worked for me, first time ever..... and they're not there. Here's my copies, if anyone wants to add them to the vault again, under ctm or oak planks:
Think you could tint these to a dark oak for us, dispereo? I have color vision problems, so I can never match anything to a particular shade/tint of a color. And these have been my favourite plank textures since I first discovered Ovo's Rustic, I think they might even be his original plank texture.
I also have the birch, spruce, and jungle planks ctm if they are needed for the vault.

I like it though it has a little bit too much a comic look in my opinion. And I don't know about the leaves in a flower pot, I gues that would have to be checked. In some other texture packs they have similar excessive leaves and they come out of the flower pot sides which looks strange. Did you try that?
No, I havn't updated yet, still running an older version of the game (Using magic launcher too). But I know we've got other textures that stick out of the pot, such as fern, dead bush (though the fixed one I'm sure works well now), dandelion (only 1-3 pixels I forget), and our old rose texture would stand up into the next block above if it was potted (but that point is a bit moot now).
I'll keep plugging away at it, though. I think I'm close, just need to get rid of that 'cartoony' feel.

Ah, so it is. I was looking in the ctm folder on the main page / root directory. Kinda confusing where it is, but now I know.Any volunteers to shade/tint this style of planks to dark oak and acacia? I only know one artist and he does cartoony stuff, so I doubt I'll have any luck. dispereo came through!
And the original planks I changed with the same change (just in case I didn't use the exact settings with my first version) :-)
Oh hell yes, that's awesome, thanks!
And just to push my luck... maybe the acacia too...?
I'm not sure why this one doesn't exactly match the ctm birch planks, but I mostly use the ctm anyhow:
Just thought these would be easier to tint/dye for acacia. Thanks in advance!
@loardvader - couldn't see these birch ctm planks in the vault. At least, they weren't in either ctm folder.

I shall take back my concerns about the leaves, just tested it, looks perfectly fine. I put the grass and the fern next to it to get a comparison how the style looks like and the leaves fit well. So the only thing would be reducing the comic look of the blossom a bit (IMHO).
Ah! Thanks for the screen shot. That helps. My first instinct is to change the hue and saturation of the leaves to better match the grass.... then I remembered that the grass is colored differently depending on biome, and that not all plants have the same hue of greenery anyway. Personal grain of salt, wee!
I think my issue with the flower is that It's actually three layers of the same drawing (one in front center, and two behind it to either side). This gives that front one a harder edge that isn't necessary if it's not bordering open space. I think I'll merge the layers and tone down the harsh edge between them. The color should be alright, I took directly from the original rose texture and didn't beef it up or anything (just blended and added 'noise').
I'm at work right now , so I'll make sure to touch it up when I get home (maybe even during lunch).

I used the original planks, not the one you posted. They looked different as well
Here you go, a bit brighter, higher contrast and a red tint.
Goddamn, that was fast! I'm finally ready for the 1.7 update! Well, as soon as all the mods/Bukkit/plugins are ready too.
Anyways, thanks again! I hope you work on some more textures for this pack.
Can these please be added to the pack/vault/alts for future releases (thread admin guys).

But... I didn't make it any wider
Sure that's not your camera PoV?
I do see it gained some saturation somehow, though. I think I'll tone it down...
(I'm back at work though, so it'll be a few hours before I get to the file)

Hi, would you mind having a look into your tall grass and tall fern? I have a screenshot here as a comparison. Firstly they look "different" and not the same style and the tall grass looks rather "washed out" (or blurry?) whilst the original grass looks rather crisp. I tried fiddling around with it but I am really s*** at it. However I tried to fiddle around with the woods and that was my solution: Log Oak compared to Dark Oak (made it darker, increased the contrast and gave it a little tint) compared to original Spruce wood. So the difference should be visible to everyone (in many forums people were complaining about the lack of visible differences). For the oak/dark oak planks I did the same thing as I did with the logs, so changed contrast, brightness and the tint. (I didn't wanna use the once in the vault as I basically used the same settings as the ones I used for the log) And for the acacia planks I basically used one of the birch planks from the image vault and gave it a red tint. difference should be minimal, didn't wanna make it too red'ish and I quite like the original to be honest. (vault version "planks3_theadventuretime") (my version) I don't know why we have to create too many new things, the vault actually has quite some good stuff that needs none or just minimal adjustments.
Reply: Excellent, a bit of a CTM texture for this could be good but idk what could be done with it, but illa dd it in the next update
Reply: I love it! looks awesome in game, might set it as default unless something better comes along
The default texture pack has different leaf shapes for the other tulips. Should I emulate this by redrawing leaves for each? Or should I just recolor the red one I made and call it good?

Im trying to understand why My ctm isnt working for all the wood types though they are all in the folder. Ctm works fine for Oak and Big_oak but none of the rest are working. I downloaded a fresh pack 1.1.2 and added the new ctm folder 2.8 with the same result. There is no current ctm folder available to delete before putting the new one in (for me atleast). Ive looked at the files of the ones that worked next to the ones that dont and I don't see what is going wrong.
Edit: You need to go into the ctm and change the properties names from wood_xxxxx to planks_xxxxx and it fixes it. All except big oak and reg oak use >wood< instead of planks wordage.
Some more things for 1.7.x have been added, and some missing this for the MCPatcher mods have been re added.
CTM Updated to 2.8 to add big_oak CTM. Its under mod support on the OP. Remember to delete old CTM files before adding the new ones!
Hi. There is something wrong with this latest pack. I have been playing on the 1.1 pack since it came out and it works great. I play 1.2 and the performance of Minecraft degrades horribly. I can basically see the game paint the screen and it is very choppy. I revert back to 1.1, the problem goes away. Keep in mind, this is my gaming PC. I play Battlefield 4 on it. It has 2 GTX 770 video cards.

I like these planks, could you possibly do the ctm planks of this style for dark oak as well?
