Pffffff.... I "was" receiving notifications when there were new posts to this thread. Since I hadn't received any in a long time I figured that no one was posting! So I figured I would double check today. Stupid notifications not working >,<
My computer broke, so i can't do anything. All my .psd files and .png now lost...

The most saddest thing... I almost made secret Thaumcraft 3 mod support and then sh*t happen.
Just tried this pack and like it very much, thank you. Oh, and a special thanks for making the "centering" easy to discern. (No more guessing where the tiny little center dot is -- bravo!)
I assume that was a reply to me? Rather than just saying they don't fit, could you give feedback as to why they don't fit, and what could be done to improve them/make them fit?
Is it a scaling issue? Is the colour off? Is it the fact that there isn't actually a rope object in the game (these aren't for trip wires), and you don't want this to be a pack where existing objects are retextured to look like other objects?
What I'm trying to do is bring some of the functionalityof the Conquest texture pack over to this one, where we can use CTM (via MCPatcher), and changing metadata on blocks to allow us to switch the textures on individual blocks in game.

I thought this was for the "lead" (/lēds/) item.... was it not?

It could be. It could be used for anything anyone wants to use it for, an alternative for ladders, vines, cobwebs. Even used as an addition to other textures.
You did see the "Working on" at the start of my original post, right? As in, not a finished product.
When you say "looks too cartoonish", you haven't really given any feedback as to what could be done to improve them, would you mind giving me some? I really like this texture pack and would love to contribute whatever I can to it, so any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

no, i saw it... But no one posting so raw work, sorry, i just thought you're experienced. Now you know.
um...shadows, lights, not just plain color, why you can't understand how to do it? Look at my texture of lead (when tied to fence) then you will see that you must make it look realistic, but not 'cutting-edgy'-realistic, just make sure that other part (that not realistic) in your texture must be a little bit cartoonish. Nature look, no Photoshop Styles, a bit noisy, minimum effects, maximum hand work, hope you understand at least now.

Working on a rope texture at the moment, which looks better, the 'longer' on the left, or 'shorter' on the right? No transparency on these yet, sorry!
I agree with the "Long version" as well.
My 2 cents for what Apachey was commenting:
Right now you've got two or three tones and they're pretty obvious where they are. Pixel work, really, which is great in pixel art, but the ORR pack is the "getting out of pixel" range of art. So your next step could easily be to blend in those colors together. Make what's the dotted line between strands a shadow, versus the highlight of the rope. Also may want to shadow the sides of the rope to give it that "Round object" feel across the whole thing.
Hope that helps!

Sucks to here that D: i think someone is working on horse textures, but it could be nice to have alts, or randommob support
PLEASE DO RANDOM MOB SUPPORT !!
I am doing the horse textures but i think mine should be alts and apacheys should be the default
I think the longer one on the left, looks good!

It looks too cartoonish, that's all

that's right
Cool, thanks
I will work on it some more!
All good, I thought that might be the case!

Thanks for the feedback, that helps a lot!
