May I have permission to use the obsidian texture in my modpack website? It will in no manner be included in the modpack, it would just look good on the site.

That's Ovo's work and you he only asks you credit him and link to the forums.
The GUI's text area needs to change to allow the longer name for "containers", including villagers, because they can be changed by the anvil except for ender chest, crafting table, beacon, and anvil.

increasing the size would be pointless because we would never be able to tell how long the new name would be. also with he default names, it would just look out of place
Then I would recommend to remove it and have a "blanket" area for text as I would think text going outside of the text area will look bad as well. Not to mention for those in other languages it would align incorrectly.

Well then send me a concept for what you want and ill fix up the UI
I don't have yours here at work, but from looking at the Vault, I think maybe changing the text area with the background of the GUI without the gold border? Will need to test the text color to it to ensure it isn't invisible, obviously.
While that's a pretty cinematic, it seems more like it's a movie about terrain in the dark. THe blocks we see in the movie are: grass, dirt, long grass, flowers, water, stone, cobble, sand, log (pine and oak), leaf (pine and oak), lava, snow, and a cow. Having panoramic after panoramic of a grassy hill won't show people more about the texture pack, it's just more grass. Nearly all the shots are taken at night, which makes most of the images dark and hard to see details in the artwork. The entire movie lacks any items, and except for cobble, it lacks any crafted blocks. So it really only shows about 5-10% of the textures total.
I think that cinematic works nice for your server (Since it's advertized at the end), but it doesn't show enough of the pack itself to really showcase it. Good luck with your server, though!

Thought: what if you left the right side open ended? Like, the gold border ends at some point, and the background of the text box fades back into the main background color. I can show an example with some basic colors but I don't think I'd be able to do it to the UI itself.

This uses a rough looking fade, though a gradient looking one could also work (since the texture itself could potentially roughen it enough). I don't think this is one of the UI things that need to be open ended, but It was just the first one I grabbed.

That's a good idea.

how dose this look for a start? uses the same texture as the background, its just brighter

This might cause a problem
