Okay, so heres the thing, I'm making an HD texture pack (64x64) and I need a complete template pack so I can edit it without problems. I cant just increase the default texture file sizes (though if anyone knows how to do that for windows 7, please tell me). I havent been able to open any psd files and i cant install the program that lets you view them. I need something that lets me edit the textures while giving me a clear description of whats what. and I would lie it to be either 64x64 or 32x32. Any help is greatly appreciated.
First, get a copy of the default texture pack. There are some stickied tutorials at the top the "Texture Packs" section that will let you download it. Once downloaded, extract it and open in an image editor.
In your image editing program (I'll assume you're using a respectable one such as GIMP, Paint.net, or Photoshop), go to Image > Resize then set the interpolation/blending/etc. option to none. This ensures the textures don't become blurry. Them, set the size of the image to whatever you want, as long as it's a square image and a power of two. 512x512 is default resolution, 1024x1024 is 32x, 2028x2048 is 64x, and so on.
Hope this helped!

It did, thank you. One question though, do the armor skins follow the same structure as the default skin? Also, what is ctm.png?
