i have it on default texture pack right now and its a little lag im woundering if anyone knows a place for a non laggy texture pack but the blocks arnt all the same colors if anyone could post a link or something below that be really nice and helpful
Well, the default-resolution 16x16 packs will all have the same amount of CPU usage regardless of simplicity. You could get a loader so you could use 8x8 or even 4x4 packs, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Put everything on low, like max fps, tiny render distance, no smooth lightning, fast graphics, and get optifine. If that doesnt work, then get a better pc.
That 'get a better PC' thing is ******** as ****. Maybe the person can't afford a new computer!
That said, Optifine, mess with some of the options, use the patcher put into Optifine to allow for different sized packs, such as 8x8. If you don't want to sacrifice looks for performance, you'll have to put up with any lag left after Optifine is installed.
Texture packs do not really increase FPS. Google it and try ahead. Still i suggest optifine because it really increases FPS.
You stated that wrong. No pack in a certain resolution is faster or slower than any other in that same resolution. An 8x8 pack is quicker than a 16x16 pack, and 128x128 is slower than 64x64. The reason being the amount of pixels it has to load per texture.

However an 8x8 pack increases the FPS by a very small amount. Much less than say, a 32x32 pack would decrease your FPS.
So yeah, an increase of FPS from smaller packs would be very very hard to notice than the obvious decrease in FPS with larger packs.

Theevilpplz is so fabulous, hetrosexual men turn bi when he passes by.
Even if all the blocks were the same color the lag would be the same.

Curse PremiumSomeone made a 1/256x1/256 pack before, I'm sure that'll work. Of course, the terrain.png is 1 pixel, so you can't tell what's what.
I'd say lowest to use is 4x4.
