People don't usually submit packs they don't think are good. I've seen a few do such, but someone will make a simple pack, think its good, and expect a hug. That's one more good pack off the front page.
I like how the most time consuming part of the process, actually creating the textures, is just sort of mentioned in passing and blown off as though it doesn't add any time to the process. :dry.gif:

Process to make a texture pack in the terms of a simple pack creator:
1. Go make a painterly pack and claim it as your own.
1a. Painstakingly find out where those pictures are where you see the pictures in-game
2. Open up MS Paint.
3. Use the brush tool to make smiley faces on the pumpkin
4. Release it as if you have created a master piece and everyone who speaks out obviously has no talent or knows a good texture pack
5. ????
6. Profit!... if anyone downloads it =p

Wind Waker Texture Pack and for Pocket Edition! ~ Texture Pack Central - Large directory of Texture Packs!
Erm. Seriously? This probably took you under 5 minutes to type. If someone could make a texture pack under a minute, I doubt it would be good; let alone have it posted. There are tutorials for this that i'm pretty sure are stickied.
This is scarily accurate to about 25% of all texture-packs I see...
Only 25?I'll break down my own stats.
25%--Simple pack.
5%---Painterly.
5%---Stolen.
15%--Doku.
1%---Good packs I haven't seen before.
39%--Good packs that I've already seen.
5%---X Ray packs.
1%---Default Repacks.
Feel free to make of those what you will, I'm sure that's nowhere near accurate.
No good texture pack takes 1 minute to make no matter how good you are =P
If anything, it would take a minimum of 1 day =/
You shouldn't have said that. Someone is going to make a simple pack because of this.
OT: What? I don't even know what you said...
Keyword: Good ;D
