How did you make the dirt and grass (I just got different shades of brown and green then smeared it)? Got any tips for me?
Sure, there's a little overlay texture next to the "tall grass" texture. That's the Texture of the grass on the side of the grass block. The shading is on the texture next to the dirt block.

For the grass: Test it!
For the sig.: Delete the Link after the
[URL]
and replace it with the link to your pack.
