Progress Report
Added/fixed a bunch of items.
Added some GUI
Added double chest
Added some misc things
I really like this texture pack, expecially the trees. Trees are one thing that alot of people dont work on ahrd enough, but you did a GREAT job with them.
There are two things that I can see that you might want to edit slightly. The first is the cobblestone/stone brick textures. On the cobblestone the stones seem a little bit too large, which makes individual blocks look lopsided. Second, the glowstone texture looks great except on the corners. IDK what the problem is, but something about the way the corners are set makes them look slightly uneven.
Ooooh, that's a great idea. Now, to build a cathedral...
Thanks madiline_b.
You're very welcome. c:
They're pretty fun, actually. I'm working on the Salisbury Cathedral, but there's so many to pick from if you want to build an existing one. It's insane.

Anyways, am downloading now.
Thank you for all of the feedback, and praise! I see what you mean about the glowstone, I'll try fixing that. I think I just screwed up the shading in one of the corners. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say the cobble looks lopsided though. I personally can't find anything wrong with it, but then again I tend to get used to flaws after looking at them for very long periods of time. Please let me know what you mean in a little more detail so I can fix it. Thanks! :wink.gif:

Ah, the Sailsbury cathedral. That thing is beautiful, but massive! That will take a while to build, but it looks like a fun project. I think I will pick a real world one and make some small edits to make it fit in with my "Grim World".
Update info
- New+Fixed GUI (furnace, inventory, trap, chest, crafting)
- New texture pack menu preview picture and unknown texture pack preview picture.
- New+Fixed items (book, paper, map, rotten flesh, leather armor, glowstone dust, snowball, golden tools/weapons, fixed diamond tools, dye, bow+animations, slime, and etc. I don't remember them all, sorry!)
- New Armor (diamond)
- New block (chest)
- New mob (zombie pigman)
- Other stuff I totally forgot about!
Very stunning textures, everything fits together so well and adds to the theme immensely. I love these kinds of packs that change the theme of the game altogether. Wonderful job.

Indeed. At its longest, it's roughly 135 meters and at its tallest, it's 123 meters. I forget what the build limit is, but I think it's 125 blocks or something like that? I'm just hoping I won't have to sink it.
I've got the floor plan all laid out in Minecraft and all I have to do now is find the heights of the walls (or at least the roofs because I know how tall the choir area is and I can probably figure it out from there.)
It'll take awhile, but it'll be worth it, I think. c:
*edit* I changed my mind about these things. Only thing I see is that the cobblestone and stone brick textures don't line up on top/side orientation. You might want to make them line up.
The only real thing i see at the moment is the gravel. Some of the pebbles in it are slightly large, and can almost be mistaken for coal. I advise that you change it.
By the way, this is my new favorite tex pack, and I look forward to seeing all the new updates.

Thanks Eric. That's what I was aiming for. And after seeing your incredible artwork, I'm flattered!

Oh, wow. That IS very big. The one I was planning on building is actually much smaller, mainly because of the height limit. I also picked a smaller one because I wanted to fit it into my little town I had already built.
The floor plan is always the hardest part. Especially when replicating buildings, since one error can lead to a lot of rebuilding. After that it gets a lot more fun, seeing the building slowly take shape. I wish you the best of luck with building your cathedral! Let me know how it goes. :wink.gif:

I'll see what I can do about the cobble.
I'm not too much of a fan of my gravel either. I wasn't quite happy with it, but I didn't really have a chance to edit it. Now that I do, I'll try to improve it. I'm pretty bad at gravel though, so it might take a while! :tongue.gif:
Anyway, I'm happy to have another Grimpack fan, welcome aboard!
I simply HAVE to give this a go. Usually for bright stuff for easy orientation, but this seems too good to pass up. Cheers!
I hope you enjoy it dunnra! I'm sure you'll find that, although the textures in Grimpack have a dark theme, their brightness actually isn't very dark. I tried to make Grimpack for those who enjoy dark textures, but still want visibility.
Thanks!
You sure did. One thing I noticed though; the vines are yellow? perhaps a blend of some tan green + yellow would look good? It works, it just.. doesn't look like I have a jungle any longer if you catch my drift. :smile.gif:
Yeah, they are. But that wasn't really intentional. The area where I do my texture testing is mostly desert, so I was thrown off by that. I'll fix that in the newest version, and change it to a better color. Like the one you suggested.
I'm downloading it right now, it seems quite good from the screenshots, a bit dark for my taste (but this is what you were aiming for, so well done).
I'll write a longer review after looking at it.
Thanks, and I hope you end up liking it! I'll look forward to your review, I can always use more feedback. :wink.gif:
I found another slight glitch, which should be an easy fix. It's the flickering chest texture that has been around since 1.8? I believe the fix to be removing a line of pixels, or something like that. It is a minor glitch, so no immediate fix needed, of course, it could also just be my CPU, so maybe fix it when you have some down time or something.
It sort of doesn't work...I'll just use the other one it's ok.
I'll help you sort it out in a PM.
Thanks, here's the map http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/901281-adv-invasion/

Alright, I'll check it out.
Thanks. I'm not sure which pack you are referring to, but I'll take it as a compliment. :smile.gif:
