General Info
Where did this come from?
Grimpack is the successor of CroCraft which was the successor of Croco's Pack. It is the third generation of my texture packs. I am incorporating everything I learned from other artists, texture packs and experiences. It is the final variant of my "dark series" of texture packs too. That being said, this texture pack will never be "done", so expect to see it around for a long time.
Why the name Grimpack?
Well, I picked the name Grimpack for two reasons. Obviously because I was going for a dark, grim theme, but also because it is very loosely inspired by the Brothers Grimm stories. The texture pack itself takes place in the medieval era of a made up world. This world, simply called "The World", has magic, but this magic can only be used for evil. Hence the loose connection to the Grimm fairy tales.
Why so serious?
I've always wanted a 32x dark and gloomy pack, but I couldn't find any. There were some that were comically dark and some that were only a little gloomy. There was never a pack that was the perfect balance. So I decided to attempt to create one. I looked at all sorts of Celtic and Gothic things for inspiration, and finally decided to make a dark and gloomy combination of the two. What I've settled on now seems to be exactly what I wanted.
What types of mobs can I expect to see?
Most mobs and enemies you see will be rooted in reality. Like the Roamers (skeletons) who wear a mask and live off of supplies they take off of fellow survivors. There are of course a few mobs spawned from magic, such as Corpses (zombies), which are bodies that have been raised from the dead.
It sounds like you have some lore, where can I find it?
I think I will post lore after the pack has progressed a little more, but if you have any ideas, feel free to send me them!

Keep in mind this is a WIP, and is not entirely finished. Yet.
Use the MCPatcher here, or you will experience:

- Glitched textures (fire, lava, portal squares in random textures)
- No random mobs

Don't worry about lack of comments - it's pretty typical as most users are either unregistered and/or just browsing/downloading packs.
Keep going with it :smile.gif:.
Edit: Oh, and I've linked to you - this is a really great pack :smile.gif:.
True. I remember a year ago I calculated the amount of comments compared to the precentage of posts out of views on Glimmars Steampunk pack, and it was barely over 1%... Which I personally find ridiculous.
Thank you for all the support too! You have no idea how much I appreciate it! :smile.gif:
Really good! Could cheer me up after last days... ha, ha...
Downloading when I get home. Will probably become one of my favourite 10 packs. (I have over 80 packs overall)
On a side note, it'll probably fit very well with the pagan/gothic music I listen to.
Ha ha, yeah. Last Days is extremely bleak.
Its awesome that my pack is in your top 10! Out of 80 too!
And thanks, that was what I was hoping it would fit in with. Nox Arcana goes melds pretty well with it at night or when exploring caves and dugeons.

P.S. New update out!
- Almost all redstone related things done.
- (items) Beef, pork, fish, iron bar, gold bar, music disks, buckets, ink sack, and spider eye done.
- Giant mushrooms, iron door, mushroom biome blocks, and enderstuff done.
This looks Like it'll be a Great pack for rpg Video's and i hope that you Keep at it . I just started one and the Smoothness of your pack is an Inspiration
This pack is stunning. However, I suggest adding a few alts. The sand could have a lighter alt because right now, I fight it hard to think that it's sand... However, this is one of the best packs I have seen and has it's very own style. :smile.gif:

Curse Premiummind making a 16x16 one of these?
I can see it being one of the greats.
This might sound strange, but I'm happy its too depressing! That's what I was going for. :tongue.gif:
Anyways, thanks Blaziken.
Thank you. But I'll have to finish the 32x version before I even think about 16x, sorry.
Thanks traceroy. Being one of the greats would be awesome, but this pack still needs a lot of work!
I was hoping it looked nice! Thanks for the support.
Ah, I've run into that dilemma before. Frustrating, isn't it? :sad.gif:
Hello Vultron! Thanks, keep an eye on it because I will be improving it in the future. :wink.gif:
I sure will! now i have another pack to use besides Last Days!
Yay! Feel free to give any me constructive criticism you can. So far, no one else has seen this pack and not many people are commenting. :sad.gif:
Oh, and I'm working on redstone and the items, expect an update on my work in a day or two.

Heh, I've done the same thing plenty of times! Sometimes I think I'm a little crazy. :tongue.gif:
Thanks. Steelfeathers will feel my wrath!
Thanks Leostero. Nice avatar by the way, I need to make a christmas themed version of mine too!
I do too... feel free to post a pic of it, I would love to see it!
