This is... Just... So...
It hits every button on my nostalgia circuit, I've been wandering around getting odd looks because I'm whistling the windwaker main theme and outset island theme.
The 1.5 update is finally ready for everyone! The only textures not done would be new fire textures (which I could use help on =x) and the very very VERY time consuming clock, those will hopefully be out soon =)

I have a suggestion for you if you don't mind: King of Red Lions on the Main Menu Screen.
Hope you get those textures finished, I can't use my ocarina to reverse time without knowing which time it is
Good luck!
-Waffles
P.S. nice work on that smoke.
Edit: I could try and do that fire for you, I don't have too much experience with Texture packs but I am a skin artist, fire is rarely seen in Wind Waker, only explosions, I can always attempt to do it. Finding a picture would be great, I'm mostly looking at the Great Poe and Valoo, maybe the Fortress burning down?
Id like to try and if you like it you can use it. Just need your permission to start.

Glad you like it ;3 You mean theKing of Red Lions for the panorama menu screen kind of thing instead of Outset Island?
Haha yea, just got my computer into it's new case with a custom water cooling loop and a little more polish, so I will be back to texturing soon once I get some other stuff out of the way.
Though of course! I would love to see what you could get accomplished for the fire, I was thinking of trying to get the fire circles that are used around chests on various islands, or Jalhalla's fire was also my best bet for fire, however I couldn't even think of animating it to be honest, I have no clue how fire's physics works or what I would do for it, I was absolutely stumped.
If you want to get into contact with me, my Skype is Blaziken584 as well, that would be the best way since I don't always check Minecraft Forum =)

I was kinda thinking more about having the King of Red Lions where it says MINECRAFT. Outset is beautiful, I suggest you keep it there. The fire circles are a great idea, if anyone has any pictures I could try and texture them, as long as I can find out how to animate the fire. Hope I'm not causing any confusion.

Ohh, I totally forgot about doing that! I was actually planning on doing so, but then I got distraced on the weird way you had to make the texture for the title, and I forgot haha. I'll also revamp it a bit so it looks cleaner, so I'll make it a larger resolution so Minecraft doesn't pixelate the crap out of it, and then I'll add the King of Red Lions =)

Blaziken, i'm not trying to be rude, but could you somehow remove the .DS_store files and their associated extensions from your texture pack? We noticed some missing textures in the pack and thought we might help out, but are having trouble testing them as any files that have once been associated with/created by the .DS_store comes up as a missing texture tile. Some of our tests have worked, but we don't want to submit anything we've done without having fully tested it yet. I meant to post this to help reduce your workload on this pack. I just realized removing those files will make even more work. Sorry. I remember a friend telling me once you can't find those files yourself on an Apple computer, but i do know any of your friends with Windows (and knows what they're doing) can help you out. Minecraft itself is also trying to read those extra files while in-game, which creates significant lag client side. Good luck and thank you for the pack.

~My problem is a simple one: I'm severely allergic to stupid.~
Is it possible you could add the "large" XP sprite? I noticed it wasn't in. But the rupees for the XP orbs are just priceless and I don't want to replace any textures with the vanilla ones...

.DS_store files are the same as the Thumbs.db files found in Windows, their only purpose is to cache the location and properties of the files for quick access to them. Removing them won't change anything other than maybe saving a few bytes. They certainly have no correlation to making Minecraft lag nor have anything to do with missing textures? I'm really confused on the whole missing texture thing because of the .DS_store files, but whatever the case, it has nothing to do with them at all. Also the .DS_store files aren't associated with any other file in there, and when in Windows are completely useless. For users of Mac OS X, if there were to unzip the folder, they would have the same cached information of the folder as I did, but other than that, they make no interaction with Minecraft. If you are getting lag, consider getting a lower res version of the pack and make sure to get Optifine =)
Upload the tests you're working on and PM me or add me on Skype (Blaziken584) if you want discuss some stuff =)
Anyway I forgot to remove them since they are invisible in Mac OS X, so with the next update I'll be sure to show hidden files and delete them before I zip them up =)

While i am sure it was great fun to assume i know nothing, i'm well aware what the .DS_store files are for MAC. My point was that Windows still ticks through those files when reading the texture pack. Windows stores thumbnails differently and temporarily, unlike MAC, which makes those files permanent. I was merely trying to be helpful.
Concerning your textures, since i returned home from hospital, i haven't been working on your pack anymore. It's a good first (ish) try and i am sure you will see continued success. Good luck!

Here is what i have for you.
Red dye:
"Correct" colors:
Pumpkin Seeds:
Melon Seeds:
Cocoa Beans:
And the two i couldn't get to work in test.
Milk:
Lilypad (waterlily):
The next time you want to quote someone, please, at least, have a point.
First, the textures you "made" for the texture pack seems like they were made in MS Paint. Second, I did have a point, your original post was very concerning in the way that you didn't research fully into the way .DS_Store files work. Lastly, your signature is very ironic, apparently you are allergic to yourself.
P.S. You don't need to scream MAAAAAAAACCCCCC every time you are referring to Apple's computers.

I hadn't thought to use MS Paint. They would probably look better if i had. Oh, well.
You should know we "old" people still say MAC. It's not screaming in caps. It's an abbreviation for Macintosh, which is what Apple computers were called 25 plus years ago. I'm also very familiar with what these computers do file-wise as i used to work with MACs and IBM (International Business Machines) way back before you were even an idea to your parents.
I'm not about to get into a tug-of-war with you, but, just maybe, you should do some research of your own before throwing insults about.
Good day to both of you.

I wasn't trying to insult your knowledge on .DS_Store files, but what you stated they did, they actually don't. When in Windows, they don't do any more than any other random file. Windows doesn't do anything more than just acknowledge that they are present. It's like placing a readme into the same directory as a program you are running, it won't affect it's performance at all, nor will the program know it's even there unless it specifically calls for it. Also, when Minecraft reads the texture pack (if it were to search for every file in there, which it doesn't, only the files it is specifically looking for) having a couple .DS_Store files won't change how long it takes to read the texture pack, unless you are working with a computer coming up on it's 25th birthday, which I sure hope no one is, haha.
I'm not trying to bash you or anything, I am just clearing up any misunderstandings with the texture pack, and how .DS_Store files interact, or the lack of, with it. I'm glad you like the texture pack enough to contribute to it =) I won't be using any of the textures you made though, the changes seem too trivial for a needed update, sorry.

Curse PremiumOf course you can =D
Anyone is free to do a review of the texture pack, just make sure you PM me it later so I can add it to the videos tab =)
It hits every button on my nostalgia circuit, I've been wandering around getting odd looks because I'm whistling the windwaker main theme and outset island theme.
Thanks for making something so lovely.
