I have to say that I'm glad the entry date has been pushed back because I'll only have time to work on this on the weekends. Anyways, seeing how I didn't like what I made last night, here's my progress so far. I'm fairly happy with how everything has turned out so far save for the gold and redstone ores, so I'll most likely redo those.
Making progress while waiting for steam games to download!
PHOTOS EVERYWHERE
(yes that's redstone)
(ferns)
New pattern for the glass but the depth needs tweaking. Seems too flat to me.
I changed the grass too.
Lava isn't actually done but this was just ****ing cool so I took a screenie. I actually really like just playing with this pack! That's always a good sign. :biggrin.gif:
Sandstone is next on my list! I'll also do the tweaks now too on both the glass and the ice because the ice has waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much contrast right now!
Yes and yes. For most blocks, the general guideline is to stick to the spirit of the competition. And I'd say those two exceptions count. :PAnd since so many people requested an extension....The deadline is now December 25! Merry Christmas everyone. ^^
Ugh....
Guess I can finish out the pack. :smile.gif:

Those wooden planks, desert shrub, and cobblestone look oddly.. um.. identical to mine >_>
Also, tried leaves again but I still don't like them. Also other stuff ~
-snip-
Not gonna lie, I used your style for the cobble, but the planks and shrub were just made out of the blue. >.>
I used those style of planks because I feel like the borders made it feel more 'RPG' and so I just added them onto some old planks I made. (my second attempt)
The shrub is based off my shrub from sheep pack, just more spiky and the cobble.... No excuses there... I'm gonna change it now! (sorry!)
Ok, new cobble, made a new sandstone and also the winter wonderland has been re-textured.
The bookshelves have an ugly colour behind the books but I can change that. :smile.gif:
(new reeds)
Ugly bookshelf and new cobble
Le Cobble
Winter wonderland! (new pine leaves, new ice, tweaked snow)
Looks really nice, Sheep. Wayukian II. :smile.gif:
Heh, I wish.... :tongue.gif:
It would be awesome to see what Wayuki can do with just 5 colours though, her pack uses a few more for each block but I think she could do an awesome 5 colour pack...
Ha ha, I had the item.png completed in about 2 days.
Sadly I ran out of inspiration for a wile after that so I didn't get much more done.
Lol fail
I just had to... piggy bank
That is amazing. I just wish I was that clever.
Unrelated comment.
I just realized I got some links messed up in my earlier post, here is the proper download link to my updated texture pack.

Retired StaffThey're too round, that's the problem. Add the highlights to the edge(s) rather than in the center.

Curse PremiumIsn't that guy from Star Trek: The next generation? I've seen a few episodes and he looks familiar....
Yes, that is William Riker. The 1st mate, if you will, of the Star Trek enterprise.

Curse PremiumYessss, score +1 point, me! :biggrin.gif:
I feel proud for knowing that.
Now next question:
In what episode, does Captain Jon Luc Picard name his executive officer in charge of radishes?
